It's amazing how the hack is updated even though they've left it. Hopefully project eris or autobleem will get some improvement or some port for example gta vc or 3 with the source code although dreaming is free xD

The installed version constantly creates a duplicate file in Documents, and that's where the original games folder gets created. The portable version doesn't have this weird...? Idk, feature? I'd call it a bug, but it's too intentional. Portable version is quick and easy, and can be updated the same way. Haven't had issues as of now, and I've modded and remodded my classic editions a LOT

Finished my secondary build a month ago. Got like 600 SNES games running sideloaded from USB OTG. Had lots of crashes in the beginning, but few now since i narrowed down. I believe there was a limitation of 25 folders with 40 games per folder, but had to narrow to 25 per folder. Still Final Fight crashed a lot when reloading saved states during the first level....

ive hacked mine years ago but since that time i set my hackchi on desktop instead of taskbar (for no real reason just to change where the icon is cuz i wanted it some place different) and it COMPLETELY messed up my hackchi, now when you click on it it *can't find the file path and starts up like it's brand new.* 😞 is there any way to fix this? it's been this way for like almost a year and i never found a solution ... i would kind of like to enjoy adding games again at some point

Steve, could you please cover how to install, and use Retroarch on the NES classic mini? I know it's similar to the NES, but I'm not able to bring up the retroarch menu within a game with the start + select combo. I have already pointed each game rom to their respective RA cores, and I even tried to input --retroarch at the end of the command line for a few games but nothing happens. I've had tried installing retroartch just like the other roms, and i've tried downloading the modules from Hakchi itself. Thanks!

Could you please make a comprehensive video on how to upgrade the mini console from Hakchi2 to Hakchi 3.9.1? All my mini consoles (NES, SNES, Genesis) are on different older Hakchi2 versions, and I want to consolidate all of them to one Hakchi 3.9.1 PC app. For the longest time I've just been content to leave well enough alone, but these new features are pretty amazing, and I realize it's time. I'm just scared shitless of going through the modding process again, because I actually managed to temporarily BRICK my NES Classic the first time. Was able to get it to work again, but that was horrifying. I already tried to flash the original kernel back onto the console, but for some reason it didn't stick. The console showed a big error when I tried to run it, but it worked again after I plugged it into the older hakchi2 and it magically restored it. IDK what I did wrong, but since then I don't dare to touch it until I find a nice thorugh walkthrough.

What is Unplug the USB Cable from the Mini Turn the power switch to the on position While holding reset, plug the USB cable to the mini, let go when flashing initiates. *The cable that was included with the Sega systems will not work!*

I've noticed lag is pretty bad when using other systems through retroarch. Also, the latency fix in retroarch doesn't work right in hackchi for some reason. Has anyone found a solution ?

This was a good video. I think you should add the link for the games also. When I downloaded hakchi it had no games on it.

Bought a retrobit snes usb controller an can’t get it to work with sega genesis mini there is no bind controller section an when I try to port the buttons it freezes up

Could you, pretty please with a cherry on top, make a video on how to upgrade the mini(s) from hakchi 2 to Hakchi CE 3.9? I know I have to re-flash the original kernel and then do the whole reinstall process again. I’ve tried it, but for some reason flashing the original kernel did not stick. Then when I went to check so my SNES mini still worked, I got an error message and the console shut down on its own. Scared out of my mind (you can’t get these anymore unless buying them from scalpers) I plugged it back into the computer and installed a few games, basically to have a reason to sync it. Amazingly enough that did the trick and the SNES mini now works as it did before - still on hakchi 2 tho. But now I’m scared shitless and I’m not trying it again without a thorough step by step tutorial. Reason I wanna upgrade is so that I can consolidate all my minis (got NES and Sega too) into one app. I also wanna install Retroarch which is a PITA to do on Hakchi 2. Please help.

HELP!!!!!! I decided to add some NES games (this is months after adding more SNES game to my mini) they appear in the system but when you click on them, they don't load to play. Anyone have a solution? What am I doing wrong?

one thing i have never understood well few bits if you already put games on usb can you add later and just update the extra games? do you then need to sync the snes mini again if you just exported your new games to usb stick? finally does the usb stick needs to have no name etc

A good video, its been a while since I hacked my mini. If I was to add more games (originally I rushed it through and it works) would I still need to hold down the reset button whilst adding more games? {I hope this isn't any silly question, just wasn't sure and I dont want to break my mini if I want to add more at some point}

maybe someone can help me... I've heard that the 21 games that come with the SNES Classic add up to about 250mb (roughly 55% of the SNES Classic hard drive)... I just downloaded 24 SNES games on ROMs that I want to add to my system, but those 24 games apparently only add up to only 33mb (at least that's what my CPU says)... is this correct??, will adding these games only take up 33mb on the SNES Classic hard drive??... some games like "Batman Returns" has only 0.25mb of data

Please help! In my hakchi library on pc I see all my games but not in structure folder. Or I did something or it happened when I added gb roms.. My gba and gbc where gone. Both of them had 34 roms each. I tried to reinstall the roms but nothing. They are however included in my USB. On my main screen I have 12 consoles and some have subfolders with also 34 roms each. What's the issue? No errors. Thank you in (gb) advance

Hello, I just downloaded Hakchi 3.9.1 , and I've tried to follow your instructions but for some reason my Hakchi is not showing a green light. I have a U.S. SNES, and now I live in the UK, using a UK laptop, could this be an issue? I'm usuing the same USB cord that came with the SNES classic. Please advise.

Mhmm a minor upgrade, would have been nice to have had the T-16 hack on it...oh well it can wait. The folder by genre is good I guess not that it makes a difference since I could manually just make folders. Still it's in time for me to start properly on a complete full SNES mini build which I have been putting off for some time.

Can you help me with this problem? On my SNES mini I can easily load and run SNES and NES games, but I can't figure out how to play PS1 games... I think the problem is on the bios files, and I almost tried it all... put the .bin files into the folder, use the tool to install custom bios, drag and drop into the hakchi app.. nothing work, if I load a PS1 game there's nothing but a black screen for a couple of seconds.. I have installed all the required mods too... Am I miss something? Thank you! 🙏
