He took him to school. I think Hakeem loved to play the best centers. Like he would step his game to another level. I remember Robinson looked defeated like there's nothing I can do.

No era of fans or players disrespects the dream. His game was pure his athleticism underrated he would also fit right into 2024 as a playmaking big who can stretch the floor with his wet shot and defend guards. Textbook greatness build good hands can tip the ball, nobody ever said hes a bust and he was drafted above MJ and everyones coll with that

People from Chicago try to get Houstonians, saying "I bet you wish you'd chosen Jordan." Nope, Jordan didn't win two championships with NO OTHER ALL-STARS on the team. By the time we got Drexler, he was still plenty good, but no longer an all-star. He was our U of H star and we were more than happy to keep him in town.

The year that the Rockets beat the prime Magic’s Lakers to get to the finals was unbelievable… it was tough to lose to the Celtics in the finals… it was impossible to go thru TWO dynasties in the same playoffs to win the chip.

That 86 Finals was closer than people remember. The Rockets won Game 3 and were in position to win Game 4 down the stretch before Boston won it. Say the Rockets do win Game 4, then they win Game 5, they go back to Boston up 3-2. Now, I still think Boston wins, but it would’ve been interesting to see that Celtics team facing elimination by a young Rockets team.

Most people don't realize the celtics (during Bird era) don't have a winning record against Lakers, 76ers, and Pistons in the playoffs. Hey remember when Magic said the piston champ was weak because they didn't beat a healthy celtics team. Hahaha keep in mind rockets didn't have their entire starting line for the entire 1986 playoff run. Hakeem beat the 86 Lakers in a gentleman sweep without their starting PG. While the Lakers had Magic Johnson at pg. Funny Magic couldn't take advantage of this. The 1986 Celtics had to resort to dirty play to get past Hakeem. Let that sink in for a second. Bird had the ref (yes the refs were clearing helping the celtics), home court advantage, and the superteam. Yet still had to resort to dirty plays against Ralph to take him out of the game in order to "beat Hakeem". Funny people give LeBron a hard time for a 8 pt finals game. When Bird has two 8 pt finals game. There's a reason bird didn't win every FMVP. Hahaha!!!
