Hakki Pilke 38 Pro customer story from Lapland, Finland. Have you ever wondered what is it like to make firewood in cold weather? Or how the Hakki Pilke 38 is working in the harshest of conditions in Finnish Lapland? Simo Rousu tells his story with with Hakki Pilke firewood processors.
Simo Rousu bought his first firewood processor in 2003, the Hakki Pilke 2X. When updating his machine, he was a little worried that 38 Pro did not have two splitting pistons. But because the splitting cycle time is a little over three seconds, he thought he could retain the efficiency and speed that he had with 2X. In the end, the speed did also increase considerably compared to 2X when he started bringing in larger logs, which he had previously avoided when using 2X. Today, he makes around 1 000 cubics of firewood annually with his 38 Pro.
