I've lost my mother recently and my father within one year, my heart aches and settles all at once when I listen to this hymn. I am eased and suffer when I hear this. I pray one day the translation or interpretation is posted. I am grateful for you and your gifted voice.

@@maryfire You are right, we also call it Eastern Syriac. Do you have the transliteration of the hymn in English script?

@@maryfire Inside the Church tradition, we have two groups of Syriac Churches that speak a Variant of Syriac, the West Jacobites and Maronites and West Syriac speaking West Syriac Churches and the East Syriac Churches are Chaldean and Assyrian Churches of East. I was wondering if you can type the lyrics of this hymn in English letters if you speak Assyrian.

@@maryfireThank you. Is this sung for the funeral rites? So just wanted to clarify that I was looking for the transcription into English letters and not the translation exactly. For example instead of writing the hymn in Assyrian script for readers like myself who don't read the script in Assyrian, in which English Latin script would help greatly. In our west Syriac Churches we print out the Syriac hymns in English letters because we don't know to read the West Syriac script and unfortunately we also don't speak much Syriac either because we are so arabized.
