With the new Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc season coming to a close, I rearranged this iconic soundtrack again from Season 1 Episode 19 "Hinokami". It's a very emotional soundtrack.
Throughout the piano arrangement, I tried to replicate the different instrumental layers in the original song.
There are quite a lot of technically challenging moments. I have made some additional helpful markings in the sheets (mymusic.st/HalcyonMusic/179451) that cannot fit in the video. Here are some more tips:
(1:03) The top note in the left hand arpeggios can sometimes be played by the right hand instead.
(2:12) It's a good idea to reduce the pedal in the "call-and-response" moments here.
(2:51) The voicing is a bit tricky here. Try to rotate your wrist and shift the weight towards the fingers that play the main melody.
(3:19) The pattern here is directly lifted from Chopin's Etude Op.10 No. 1. In my sheets, I included an easier alternative passage for the right hand, marked "ossia", which can be played instead of the original passage.
(3:44) This section should be played mostly without pedal to imitate the strings in the original song (I think it's called spiccato?).
