If the employee is owed money I will get permission to do a pay out if they need the money immediately. Sometimes the funds will be paid overnight from payroll on a separate check. I would never work for free and I always teach my employees the same.

and if you have had a young adult waiting for their 1st checks, life is hell until they get that money. working, earning money is a big deal for them, as is for all of us, but that age group can really be incensed.
