I went to an interview/acoustic performance and they touched on this. When they got to the topic of these type of lyrics, Lzzy joked about how Arejay was about to go into his own little world in order to ignore her answer and he said that he understands that sexuality is a part of the band’s lyrics and it’s something that he’s used to.

I don't mind their songs about sex as long as they're done with clever lyrics but this one is so blatantly to-the-point that it's completely devoid of the charm many of their other songs have. Break In is about sex, but it's more about the emotional connection when done with the right person, Private Parts is more about opening up emotionally but the way it's written is clever. This one just... isn't.

I can't say if I like it or not based solely on the acoustic version. There are many songs that sound great when acoustic but are terrible in the original version

Here's the thing: Lizzy isn't even purely Bisexual. She's Bicurious. Which means she has an open mind to Bisexuality but doesn't personally identify as such. She's willing to experiment, but refuses to label herself as Bi. Look, Bisexual and lesbian individuals deserve respect as much as the next person. And yes, I get it's difficult for an older generation to grasp. I'm in the same boat as your daughter, really: came out as bisexual at a fairly young age and had no idea how my mother was going to react. Just carry on being a loving and supportive parent and your daughter will love and respect you. Let her see you as her confidant. Don't reject her for her identity. Support her show her she's still loved and appreciated, even if you can't fully wrap your head around the concept.
