My mother is half Japanese and half Filipina, my father full Filipino and I’ve married a German. It has been interesting for me to see my daughter’s personality evolve…discipline with song and dance 😆. I was born in the Philippines but raised in California but we now live in Germany and I am excited for her to be fluent in German, English and am determined to teach her Tagalog. Just wish my mother had taught me Japanese and I could have passed it on. So if there are any international couples out there reading this; definitely make sure your culture touches your child no matter where you are. They’re like sponges and will appreciate knowing another language and proud of being part of their heritage.

My mother was born and raised in Hungary. She came to the US at 15. When she married my dad, an Italian/German American (who only spoke English) she said she didn't want him to feel 'left out' so she never taught my brother and I Hungarian growing up. It cut me off from everyone on my mom's side of the family because she was the only one who came over from there and none of them spoke English. Don't do that to your kids people. If your family speaks a different language, make sure you teach it to your kids! Especially if they're the only blood family your kids will have.

@D S My ex-wife is German and her family roots are Czech, Italian, and German. I study people and can tell where they are from or where their family is from just by looking at them. A person's face and feet tell a variety of stories. You don't have to believe me however I know. I've even proven my brother-in-law wrong and he's a history major. He argued that I couldn't tell Spanish speakers apart because they all spoke the same Spanish. I simpasked him to send me pictures without telling me the names. I was able to identify where these people came from. I won him over fast lol. I can even do this with Asian cultures. I've only had trouble identifying people from southern India, northwest India, and Bangladesh. Some of them resemble Arabs. In this case, I'd need to hear them speak. Even if someone speaks several languages or hides their accent each country has limited voice box sounds. This means every 6, 7, or 8 men or women will sound like someone else. You can also link your voice to your ancestors. For example, I'm Black, Spanish, and Asian with only 6% German. However, I only Speak Deutsch, Tagalog, and English. My voice is more German and has been my whole life even before I learned to speak Deutsch. To answer your question is to ask yourself a fact, are they not beautiful? I think so. However even people talk about which cultures they feel they are closer to, it's a simple question and it is whichever country they grew up in.

@@bootyblaster3009all KZfaq videos are staged, edited and changed. How long did it take for you to figure that out? Probably a really long time huh? You think anyone gets views or etc. just recording and uploading raw? Maybe your mom on onlyfans but that’s not how KZfaq is. I’m sure the setting is decently real, but I would bet this guy just looked for white Japanese people and didn’t verify if they were German or not. He just asked to question them in public and added whatever as the catchphrase. He also wrongly uses subtitles to trigger people, or make them think differently about what he’s asking. But yeah, you’re not a genius for pointing out the obvious.

Parents teach your children your native language. You are helping them have more opportunities in the future!
@snailart9214 Жыл бұрын
It isn't encouraged in school though. Kids spend almost all their time speaking at school, and around the globe they only teach English usually. Colonialism is a big piece of why parents don't/can't teach. My grandfather spoke Spanish but I'm mixed up, and we're in the Midwest. He didn't want us to stand out our be judged for being different. I feel that this is often the case for bi-racial people.
@worthlessdollar1 Жыл бұрын

Unfortunately, most common jobs no longer pay for being bilingual. My dad was from Mexico and my mom's side of the family is from Texas (rooted there so long they used to be in Mexico) and up to the mid 90's when I was in about 7th grade my mom used to speak Spanish at work. One day she noticed on her paystub that the extra buck an hour was gone. When she asked about it, they said they did away with it but still expected those that could translate/speak to still do it. She simply told her boss she forgot how. She told my siblings and I to never do something for free, even if its as simple as speaking.
@ricoandrade3123 Жыл бұрын
It's harder than you think. Kids like speaking the language they are most comfortable with which always tends to be the school language. Doesn't matter if you only speak the native language at home their school language will always be the dominant language.
