A small map showcasing attacking Blues advancing from cover to cover, attempted to take down the Red defenders. This also showcases a custom Shotgunner NPC I made a while ago.

there is something so fluid about the way they move, it would be more fair and realistic if blue team was able to shoot from desent distance

can the combine in hla use low cover or medium cover like the regulars in hl2?

In Hammer you define a square volume that's considered "strong cover", and NPCs will go there and crouch.

Seems that the shotgunner you made there behave more like the grunts, i noticed he was trying to shoot at the red team from long range and it's taking cover just like one of the grunts, althought as you said multiple times in other comments, it is an experiment.

I made a shotgunner NPC but I haven't used it in anything yet. The behavior is still HLA AI, but using some hammer entities to make them move to certain locations etc.

Yoo dude. I think you’d be great at making an HLA combine mod for Garry’s Mod. I don’t know the details of making something as detailed and time consuming as THIS, but it would be super rad to see it in a setting like GMod. Thinkin about it at least?
