totally Gordon’s theme. I always loved how it kicked in when you climb out to the cliffside of the mesa, and there’s this sense of serious foreboding and danger, but that you’re the most capable and powerful person on the battlefield. Nobody’s gonna stop Freeman.

I'm listening to the differences between the Compressed Version here on youtube to the one I got from Steam. Big difference. The KZfaq Compression makes the sound lose it's richness. The Deep Bass is just...gone.

I still think that Kelly Bailey took some inspiration from Twin Peaks for this absolute classic theme, he had some inspiration from 80-90s music scene for his other works.. but multiplied all with his vision. He is just so great about overall saturation with his music and sound design.

So I'm playing Half Life for the first time. And I've heard this song play at the start of TF2, Portal, Left 4 Dead, and shit. But I never knew it was from this game. That was a pretty hype moment tbh
