Sven COOP actually included the Human Sergeant in a special version of the mod (before the standalone release). He works a lot like TF2's heavy.

His gun looks more like a GAU-19 with the three barrels and heat shield... it looks far too small to fire the 20mm round you mentioned... it looks to be 12.7x99 mm or as its commonly know as .50 caliber..

He seems to have been too powerful for an enemy encountered often, he would of worked better as a miniboss in either "Surface Tension" or "Forget about Freeman".

Can we all just be really happy that valve released this late, cuz if they had hit their schedule.. they would have been in that cross section between when painted on eyes were a thing that small cross-section that we we ran from as fast as we could.. condolences to the board games that didn't make that window, but if this game had come out of your earlier LOL, I'm just genuinely horrific flashbacks to that monolith game, which was a good game but fucking a.. those fucking eyes LOL there's only about a year when texture definition had like enough definition to do that and also terrify you at the same time but geometry detail hadn't caught up, and I can see why that was that was a very very very common and and widely adopted trend in the quickest of of trend manners LOL... In a way the human sergeant WAS resurrected in the retail at least his earliest variant with the M60 in Half Life Opposing Force with the M249 grunt that Shephard would occasionally encounter across Black Mesa, yeah he doesn't have the LAW rocket launcher attack but his heavy weapon the M249 is a much more period accurate weapon for the HECU given that the Black Mesa Incident took place around the end of the 1990s to the early 2000's had the BM Incident took place in the late 80's I could see the HECU sporting the M60 as a heavy weapon in their arsenal.

looks like he was inspired from "The Predator" (1987) and the beta human grunts seem to have some sort of inspiration from it too since they appear to hold a colt m16a1 with a grenade launcher

I actually have something simillar to the Human Sergeant, the Shotgun Sergeant. Her armor is based of the Ordinal but has the Charger’s shotgun. And yes, she will have similar abilities as Human Sarge.
