Dave, I have been making something very similar to this for years. Everything form pepperoni pizza to ham and cheese. As long as the ingredients are shelf stable the possibilities are endless. Hey Dave used to have these all the time back boyscout camp we used to use Bisquick do as if you would make cut-out biscuits and prepare them in our MoonPie makers. Thought this would be useful for those who do not have a bush pot rack.

I would have to add onions and mushrooms and definitely some pepper. And if I wanted to go crazy I would have added some gravy on the side.

I used to make buscuits at bojangles. The biscuit dough should look like cottage cheese when mixed. Most people over work the dough which develops the gluten and makes the biscuits tougher and more like pizza crust.

i would suggest a brush of melted butter (if you have it) along the top and it will bake into a nice crisp top. maybe also add some potato and onion.
