@@user-xt5mn4fg5g I don't see it that way. Christianity has the same God as Judaism. I don't know about the Tora but I have listen to Rabbis say that Judaism allows for reincarnation. So I see hell as a temporary place one put themselves in because they turn their back on God. Once they are ready I believe they will live again and try to get it right so they can be with the creator if they allow themselves to receive his grace. Just the way I see it.

Agreed. He moves well for his size. He's literally 7 fukin 4 300lbs and can run and move laterally. He could body Wemby, Chet etc out of position and defend laterally. For the right team, like ATL, he's a no brainer. He needs to be coached up of course but the physical and mental tools are there.

Edey has to find a way to play defense the same way Lopez does in Milwaukee. Means deep drop with high BB-IQ and never get isolated on the perimeter. If he will ever develop a shot like Lopez, not sure. But it sure as hell would also help.

Jokic is a total liability on defense yet he's figured out how to dominate games. Edey should study Jokic. If he can develop a consistent shot and post games, along with some distribution, he could be an impact player, much more than Lopez.
@heavylobster4339
@heavylobster4339 2 ай бұрын
He might be able to develop a perimeter shot, as he does shoot free throws decently. But at his size all he really has to do is be a really efficient roll man and post scorer who passes well enough to punish doubles. If he's able to score a lot of easy 2s around the basket while forcing long 2s in drop coverage on the other end, that's winning basketball.

Edie should go in the top 8. Just have him lift weights to get his deltoids stronger. He will solve problems in rebounding, blocked shots, scoring and setting picks. All that and he is 7-4 and 300lbs. keep him down low. EVERYbody doesn't need to shoot 3's!! Give me a break. This guy should go in the top 4. Some sharp team will see this and grab him early. He is not Wemby...and he doesn't have to be. The Spurs should pick him up at number 8 if he is still there. Just watch!! THE LAKERS WOULD LOVE TO GET THIS GUY!!!! !!!

spurs and OKC. Put Edey on center and it would allow Wemby or Chet to slide to F spot and create, defensively Edey anchors the middle and be the physical guy, and which allows Wemby or Chet better coverage from helpside defense. Theres no indication that Edey develops into a Gobert but if he gets something close while allowing others to shine hes in a good spot.

He is a late bloomer in basketball compared to others. He grew up playing baseball and hockey in Canada. He has a ton of potential and still learning and getting used to his 7”4 300 body and the game of basketball. A guy who can skate backwards on ice, and shoot the free throws with that form reveals he has picked up the game very well from where he came from.

First off guys this size who are plus athletes come around once in a generation. Not guys this size who run and move like they are 7'4" and 300 pounds. Boban is the same size... In terms of hands, he has good hands catching the ball against NCAA defenders who have a hard time bothering him. We saw that's not the case when he was unplayable in any situation against mostly pro level competition at the World Cup. The NBA is not moving away from giants over the past 4 or 5 years its been the opposite, they are moving toward them. They are moving away from giants who can't... Move! They are moving away from big's who can only play at one level. The guy who's going to win the Rookie of the year award is 7'4" the guy who's going to finish second is 7'1" The guy who's going to win MVP is 7' and the guy who'd have finished 1st r second if not for injury is also 7' tall... All those guys can play baseline to baseline on both ends of the floor. Zach can't. Again, scouts are going to keep going back to his FIBA tape.

Thing is Edey is a fast learner. NBA teams can work on hand speed and getting him to be exposive from short range, can even get 3 point coaches like OKC did. Speed can come from endurance, which he will definately get from playing at the NBA level. He's a 7'4" Solid slab of clay, and hes only going to get stronger. you dont get that every year. Easy 1st round pick.

In a draft of risky 18 year olds who may not contribute soon or even fully develop, Edey offers more short term value than virtually any of the other top big guys. The risk of drafting him is relatively low and potential upside is quite high (if keeping expectations reasonable.)

Many people have a blind spot when it comes to Edey IMO here is the upside. 1. Because of his size and strength, he will have to be double-teamed. Here he can pass out to an open player. 2. He will be able to cleanup 2nd chance points on both defense and offense. 3. Because of his size, his teams can stretch the defense to guard the 3 pointer, while Zach guards the interior 4, The style of his team play can be adjusted to his game. And the opponents will be forced to adjust to Edey. 5. If you think that teams can stop him from scoring, you are not seeing just how strong his is. His field goal percentage will be in the 60s. No one knows for sure how Zach will work out. But, the upside could be game-changing. I would love to see Zach on the Spurs or the Thunder and see what a couple of giants can accomplish, having bigs both outside and down low. Also, I think that pro basketball has become so one-dimensional and kind of boring. Maybe Zach could make it a bit more interesting,

@@heavylobster4339 Agreed. Edey needs work; but, all rookies have growing pains. I have heard talk that the Knicks are looking at Edey. Could you imagine a Brunson/Edey team. Both players will usually require a double-team. Where does that leave the 3-point shooters - WIDE OPEN. This similar type of scenario could happen with so many other teams, Spurs, Mavs, etc, Some people just aren't getting it.

I think you have a massive blind spot here. He doesn’t chase down block and guard aggressively where he could foul someone. Thats because he’s more valuable to the team being on the court. You see him choose his spot. If he isn’t the centerpiece and can guard as aggressively as he wants, his defense will look much different. And that’s by design the way he held back at Purdue. Black swan fallacy where just bc he didn’t do it doesn’t mean he can’t, He’s not lumbering at all. He’ll prove you wrong with his athleticism, I promise you,

Look, Jokic has LESS agility and is a complete non-entity on defense. If he can figure out how to impact and be the keystone to a team then Edey can definitely become a factor. He needs someone to coach him into his size. He lets smaller players out muscle him way too often. He can also learn how to distribute and develop more post/midrange moves. He's not too big. He 'is not' very agile. He'll do fine in the NBA... but I don't think that he'll be a big star.

The NBA is about the flash, and Zack Edey, isnt flashy. He will NOT get drafted... Tacko Fall no 2...

Was Tackle Fall that dominant in college? Did he ever score 40 points?

Such a bad take. Some GMs love him other think he won't work out. But some will defiantly pick him. Tacko Fall was not the best player in college ball two years in a row. Saying NBA is about flash shows how deep your BB IQ is I suppose.

Plenty of Americans would love Edey on their team. No need to hate on an entire nation.
