Halibut fish biting at Belmont pier in Long Beach CA. A keeper must be 22 inches.

Күн бұрынGreat day on the pier . Lots of bites but none of the Halibut were legal size of 22 inches so back in the water they went. Male Halibut take 2 to 3 years to mature ,female 4 to 5 years 😲

Nice information about legal size for halibut! Need more fisherman on Belmont pier to comply with fish size limits. Catch and Release!

Thank you for posting rules about Halibut fish length and reason for size limits - to allow for reproduction. Too many Asian fisherman break the law and keep undersize fish at Belmont Pier.
