@@leoniegureghian4015 It is. I did it in 2018, and I attended two grand waltz balls in Vienna: the Ärzteball (Medical Professional's Ball) and the Jägerball (Hunter's Ball). You really do waltz until dawn, and you get to dance the Fledermaus Quadrille and the Galopp in the Festsaal of the Hofburg at midnight (Jägerball) and at 3:00am (Ärzteball; there's a dry-run upstairs at midnight). Right before the ball ends and the dancefloor in the Festsaal thins out a bit, you dance to the last Viennese Waltz of the evening, "Blue Danube", you dance Polka to, "Radetzky March", and the final dance is to a down tempo waltz, "Brüderlein Fein". With a gray dawn breaking, you then exit that beautiful palace onto the Heldenplatz and a waiting taxi. I was in Heaven!

When we shopped for a house for our family 50 years ago it was with the condition that the living room had to be big enough for waltzing: so each house we visited had us waltzing. The realtors were all bemused. We finally found an old house in need of much repair that we could just afford: but after a couple years we got it functional and began our New Year's Ball. Admittedly it is recorded music, but the waltz has always been soul music for us. We continued every year until interrupted by Covid, but we will eventually be back and dancing, with the third generation. Friends and relatives come and go, but the waltz just spins on and on. And even if you are alone in your living room, you can waltz. It is a simple step, and once you do it, you can play with it forever, like the spinning of a galaxy.

Here is a factoid. Did you ever wonder why some of the early Bugs Bunny and Company cartoons had classical music? The producers wanted to introduce kids to classical tunes and this was there way to do it. Remember Bugs Bunny as "The Barber of Seville"? One other had "Ride of the Valyries" with Bugs and Elmer Fudd.

Hey, plenty of time to learn more. The world of much is huge, but classical is a fantastic place to start. Don't let anyone pick on you for what you enjoy, music is entirely a matter of taste, and this stuff has been around for a lot longer than the stuff the other kids think they are supposed to like. But there is do much more, that is the best thing about music. From all over the world, various traditional music, for music, chanting, choral music (a cappella choral is fantastic, and the anything Orthodox is good). But even if you just stick with classical you would probably take a long time before you ran out of stuff to discover. And then you listen to it all again!

When in the RAF as a member of the sergeant's mess we would attend a ball. e.g. Battle of Britain, and I would have my hair done in a salon and then have my face made up in a beauty salon. Then it was time to put on 'that dress'. We would dance till 4 in the morning and then sit down to a champagne breakfast and yes you can eat a full fry up and drink champagne. I can honestly say that for that one night I felt a million dollars. The one place that I would love to dance is the hall of mirrors in Versailles.

Strauss has been mine favorite since I was a very young child . I was brought up to appreciate all types of music and to this day...hard rock and Rap is the only kinds I can't tolerate... But Strauss is the ticket! The music fills me with contentment, love happiness and Joy! Music has to be connected to the soul!!

I recognize the first waltz - "Voices of Spring." It was performed on the Three Stooges sung by Christine McIntyre (and Curly imitating her).

Escucho está música viendo las imágenes, e inmediatamente me transportó al centro de una de estas salas, veo y siento el calor de los candelabros, bellísimos tapices, muebles y cortinas. Doy vueltas y vueltas envuelta en encajes, crinolinas, listones y flores, me hundo en un laberinto de giros y giros hasta una vida anterior justo en esa época. La cabeza me duele de felicidad y entonces regreso a mi vida en la actualidad, despierto de mi sueño. Pero no me siento triste, me siento feliz. Gracias a quien nos da la oportunidad de escuchar tan bella música.

We are listening to a real I call music created and composed by talented and i would say geniuses individual. Their music will last forever to people like us. Compare it to the music nowadays listen to by young generation which are just enhanced by electronic gadgets. There is no comparison. If you watch carefully listening to a symphony performing you will see how these conductor are so good. How many sections of instrument they are in an orchestra, so many. Then watch all this conductors the like of Muti, Karajan, Baremboim' Marriotti Dudamel and so many others how they follow the music, notes the sections the instruments they conduct. They are not just swinging their body and heads and move their batons pointing to the sections of instruments. They can read the thousand and thousands of notes. Keep listening guys....as I do most of the time, my real pastimes and relaxations.

I just love all music tbh, modern or not. I wouldn’t necessarily that modern lacks class, there’s lots of classical music with gentle dynamics made to this day, it’s just not as popular

Listening to classical music for waltz makes me feel light, delightful, free, and inspired. Such music let's me think about the Renaissance & Baroque Periods. Reminds me of the hours that I used to spend listening to waltzes while studying. Strauss waltzes was the most I could handle without getting distracted in the music.

Моята любима музика е Класическата , обожавам я , никога не мога да и се наситя , а валсовете не ги пропускам , със съпруга ми си танцуваме двамата , в къщи , просто няма къде , както едно време , колко хубаво беше , но все пак благодаря на интернет за възможността да слушаме и да се запознаваме с композитори които откриваме ,и които са създали прекрасна музика , благодарение на муз.канали.Благодарности към всички за това щастие !!!
