Neos Marmaras is the largest #seaside #village on the second peninsula of Halkidiki, Sithonia. It has 3500 inhabitants, who are mainly engaged in #tourism, #fishing, beekeeping and branches of #agriculture such as olive growing and #viticulture.
The #settlement is built amphitheatrically with a western #orientation, offering an unlimited view of the #islet of #Kelyfos, the neighbouring #peninsula of #Kassandra and in the background the mountain of the Gods, #Olympus.
The #exotic #beauties of Greece never stop leaving us speechless as we gaze ecstatically at the bright blue sky and the crystal waters of the sea, which are officially the cleanest and clearest in the #European #Union.
It is the most #cosmopolitan #place in Sithonia and every year thousands of #tourists #visit it and enjoy the beautiful beaches, the breathtaking #landscapes, the nature in the surrounding mountains, the night life and romantic walks in the picturesque alleys.
It lies about 120 km from #Thessaloniki and 55 from #Polygyros, the #capital of Halkidiki.
During the #summer months, daily boats depart to an unforgettable cruise to #Mount #Athos.
Next to Neos Marmaras dominates the famous #Porto #Carras #hotel complex and one of the most beautiful organized beaches in Sithonia. The #Marina at Porto Carras hosts hundreds of #luxury #yachts each year, while the #casino, #golf courses, #equestrian club, #scuba #diving and other #activities complete the exotic experience.
The area is visited by many nature lovers as the flora and fauna on #Itamos, the mountain above Marmaras, is rich and impressive. You may come across deer, roe deer, foxes, wild boars and other species of #animals.
At a distance of 5 km lies the traditional settlement of #Parthenonas at an altitude of 350 meters. It is a historic village with stone-built houses and cobbled streets with a wonderful view. The #Church of Agios #Stefanos built in 1837, taverns with traditional #specialties and the sunset complete a wonderful setting.
In addition to the beach of Neos Marmaras and the beach of Porto Karras, there are other beaches of tropical beauty nearby that are worth discovering.

Wow, this video of Halkidiki in Greece is absolutely breathtaking! The crystal clear waters and golden sand beaches are simply stunning. Neos Marmaras looks like the perfect seaside village to relax and unwind in, with its picturesque alleys and amazing views of the mountains and sea. The Porto Karras hotel complex and the Marina are also impressive, with plenty of luxury activities to keep you busy. The area is rich in flora and fauna, and the traditional settlement of Parthenonas looks like a must-visit spot. Thank you for this amazing tour of Halkidiki! I can't wait to visit Greece again and explore all these beautiful destinations!
