Yeah, their influences are rock and R&B. Good for you young lady, YOU actually listen and recognize the R& B style. Sara Smile is a R&B classic and its good to hear the old school original.

You should check out some of the "Live from Daryl's house" stuff they have on hear. I particularly like it when he has The O'Jays, and Smokey Robinson... In fact, him and Smokey sing Sara Smile, and I think it's my favorite version.
