This is a custom built in (hall tree) that I built for my sister. I was able to take measurements and build off site in my shop. I made the carcasses slightly smaller than the opening to allow for the house walls to be out of square. The face frames were built longer to allow cut to fit on site, for a perfect fit. Plans are to follow so on my website.

Danny, great build! Can you please share more insights regarding how you mounted the top cubbies. I saw you added a ledger board, but am curious how you built the back of the top cubbies to mount on it. Thanks!!!

Thanks for watching. The top cubbies were mounted using a french cleat method ( just search it on KZfaq). It would we way easier to watch then for me to attempt to explain it. Lol.

Hi Danny, you painted the cubbies before installing and painted again after installing in place. Do you recommend this two-step painting or can I just paint the whole thing (minus the bench) once they are installed?

@rinkelton
@rinkelton 4 жыл бұрын
Yes it is 3/4" ply. With solid wood trim. The outfeed table is a Ron Paulk design, he has a youtube channel. I think its called the total work station. It is designd to be easy to move around. I actually just built an updated workbench one that is not mobile. Thanks for watching!
