When I took my wife out to dance to this song, I gently grabbed her waist and gave her a lovely kiss, what a good time and what a good song. Rest in peace, my love, this song is in your name that gives us many memories :)

ok, quick story. so one time i was walking to my bus stop, and i have to cross a road to get there. i was distracted listening to this absolute gem of a song and then there was a car coming right before i was about to cross the road. then all of a sudden i hear this: 4:11 Daryl Hall yelling "WATCH OUT, WATCH OUT, WATCH OUT, WATCH OUT" and i look up and see the car and instantly stop. This song potentially saved my life.

Is that really true? I love the saxofone myself because you can express your feelings and emotions so directly on this instrument. As a Dutchman I'm proud with our own Candy Dulfer, a very hot lady who really can go mad on a sax. She's a great star, not only in the Netherlands, but also abroad and played with some of the greatest like even Prince! So there's light at the horizon. Many, many songs have intro's with saxophones, solo's etc. What about the sound of Sade's band? There the sax determines that typical jazzy sound. Without sax no Smooth Operator! So cheer up and don't dispair!

[Verse 1] She'll only come out at night The lean and hungry type Nothing is new I've seen her here before Watching and waiting Ooh, she's sitting with you, but her eyes are on the door So many have paid to see what you think you're getting for free The woman is wild, a she-cat tamed by the purr of a Jaguar Money's the matter If you're in it for love, you ain't gonna get too far [Chorus] (Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out, boy, she'll chew you up (Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneater (Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out, boy, she'll chew you up (Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneater [Verse 2] I wouldn't if I were you I know what she can do She's deadly, man She could really rip your world apart Mind over matter Ooh, the beauty is there but a beast is in the heart [Chorus] (Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out, boy, she'll chew you up (Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneater (Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out, boy, she'll chew you up (Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneater [Instrumental Bridge] [Chorus] Ooh (Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes, watch out, boy, she'll chew you up (Whoa-oh, here she comes, watch out) She's a maneater (Oh-oh, here she comes, she's a maneater) Ooh, she'll chew you up (Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes, she's a maneater (Oh-oh, here she comes, watch out) She'll only come out at night, ooh (Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes, she's a maneater (Oh-oh, here she comes, she's a maneater) The woman is wild, woo (Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes, watch out, boy, watch out, boy (Oh-oh, here she comes) Oh, watch out, watch out, watch out, watch out (Oh-oh, here she comes, watch out) Yeah, yeah, she's a maneater (Oh-oh, here she comes, she's a maneater) She's watching and waiting, ooh (Oh-oh, here she comes) Oh, she's a maneater

They both ripped off a Motown standard. For example: The Supremes: You Can't Hurry Love (1966)

That's something that I did not know. I thought Part Time Lover was a 70s song, back when Stevie became a more recognizable figure.

I refuse to believe that Daryl Hall and John Oates we’re real. They’re literally human embodiments of the 80’s

Funny this is that they had their first big hits in the mid-70s, followed by a few misses on Along the Red Ledge and X-Static, which only scored a couple of minor hits. However, starting in 1980, they struck gold and had five number one hits in just 4 years, a phenomenal run.
