우리가 알던 에리얼은 검은머리에 흑인이 아니였는데.. 캐스팅 미스라고 여배우가 흑인이라는 게 문제라고 솔직한 심정을 말하는것이 인종차별이라는게 이해안가요.. 흑인이기 때문에 모든걸 이해해야한다면 오히려 그게 차별이죠 아닌건 아니라고 말할 수 있어야지 반대로 뮬란이 금발에 백인이였어도 전 똑같이 캐스팅 미스라고 했을거에요

I agree ^^ personnally, i am not a huge fan of the original film (PERSONNALLY, i insist, bexause objectively i think it is a really good movie, i just have personnal issues with it), but I am excited for this remake, just because of this choice for ariel ! For people that is upset and think that she will not fit the role because her skin tone does not match the setting of the story, the Disney version was set in the Caribbeans and it will be set in the Caribbeans again and if Disney’s cinematic version is going for a more realistic approach, her skin tone and beauty couldn’t be more perfect for this role. Any excuse of why she should be white?

I want to ask you about the meaning of the "live-action" movie. Why do people want to watch a live-action movie? Since they want to see a character in real, they watch the movie. Ariel is the Netherlands and has red hair, which is her landmark. Without red hair, can we say that the character is Ariel? I just want to remind you of the meaning of "live-action". Recently, many of Disney's movies aren't successful at all... Too much P.C on movies...

I’ve seen almost every performance of her singing/harmonizing and her voice was MADE for this role. She has that voice and I don’t get how the people that are hating don’t see that or hear that. I guarantee her voice is what won the judges over. They don’t base anything off race and it would be nice for us to not do that either.

M Mathematics don’t get me wrong. It’s just that I remember the 50’s Disney Princesses in her voice. I mean, it’s CLASSIC. Imagined her singing Once Upon A Dream and A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes. I think her voice fits them well.
