The arrangement of their version of Hallelujah is very clever, but it is one thing to record this in a studio for a video, but it is an entirely different story to pull this off in the same quality live. Insane! And a worthy reaction for 100!

I'm so happy that you reacted to this live Pentatonix performance. They were perfect. I love that we can see Scott take over as bass. Thank you for 100 Pentatonix reactions. So happy that you have joined our Pentaholic family. I hope that you enjoy the next 100 just as much. I still have that Pentatonix NBC Christmas special on my DVR. Actually, I have all 3 of their Christmas specials on that DVR. That is why I can't bring myself to upgrade the DVR. I would lose them. FUN FACT: The official video now has over 679 million views.

That video has well over a billion views because when a reactor watches it, it only counts as one. When you add up all the views for each reactor it ads up quick.

As folks have mentioned, they also have a live version from 2021. Matt does his part a bit differently than Avi did it, including jumping up to one really high falsetto note.

Wow! 100! AWESOME! One of the reasons I love this performance is you get to see what some of the others are doing instead of just hearing it and trying to catch everything . It's the easiest one to see Scott taking bass when Avi sings. Also, when Mitch is rising you can see Kevin join Kirstie on high harmonies. Thanks for sharing your love of PTX!

There is a new christmas special that Matt is in and his falsetto is amazing! I wish you would watch the most current Xmas special from their Xmas tour. Please react or watch it for yourself. Matt does an amazing job of filling in Avi's shoes in my personal opinion. He helped the group go into a different direction. Example: I can't imagine doing the Dynamite/Butter mash up. Avi's single career is going off like crazy and his new music is so reflective and so touching. I hope you'll listen to his solo music too! Keep the PTX videos coming. Have you done La La Latch yet? So glad you did this version. It's amazing. As others have mentioned they released a new live version of this in August 2022 with Matt. He puts his own spin on it and honestly my mouth dropped the first time I heard it. I'd love to see your reaction to that version too.

This is a great video! One reason for me is that you can see Scott covering bass while Avi sings lead in the beginning of the song. They are all so talented and have great ranges.

With all of the things that can be done with a studio recording to "enhance" it, there's still something about a live performance by PTX that just blows your socks off! I'm still trying to decide which I like better, but it's a fun dilemma to be in!

I ditto all below comments... This was perfect! Quite a few times I went back to watch your original reactions to the trifecta acapella groups, PTX, VP, HF. (I only watch acapella covers) and it has been SO much fun watching you worm down the deep deep rabbit hole. I believe your subs doubled when you started covering acapella? I am looking forward to a lot more reactions. Finishing PTX's run on The Sing Off- and hopefully do the same with HF's run. This is my favorite live version of this song, but you deserve to also listen to the live version with Matt because he doesn’t it his own way. That version, for me, lacks a little energy (and that is being hyper critical, because it really is good). You are such a fan, that you should see both. (Even if you don’t react to it, go give it a listen).

I too think this is actually better than the studio version, and there's not many artists who can do that. I've loved watching you dive into PTX, and often go back through your playlist and re-watch them. This was a perfect 100th reaction for them! If, you can, could you please have at a look at Amira Willenghagen, she's phenomenal! I'll pop a link in for you to her first audition on Holland's Got Talent. She was 9 at the time.
