Over the years I've seen dozens of Antarctica docs (IMAX included) and great timelapses and, to me, you have managed to do one of the most striking and beautiful videos in such a incredible desolate place. Truly magnificent piece of work. You can be proud of yourself! Many thanks for your vision, planning, persistence and overall hard work. Wishing you all the best from Portugal :)

What I love about this is the mixture of fantastic engineering with an appreciation for providing a nice living space for the workers.

Great film. Thank you. - Just been watching Horizon on BBC 2 - regarding moving Halley VI due to the large crack forming in the ice sheet. This threatens casting Halley VI adrift unless moved.

That was fun. Beautiful piano. I love the Halley VI design. I must say, that crevasse looked very, very deep, and that tent looked very, very small out on the ice sheet.

Oh look. During the polar night there's the *Tropic of Capricorn* wrapping all the way around! It's right ascension pretty much embraces the area of the sky several degrees above the horizon, with a 90 degree declination to the south celestial pole directly overhead at the zenith. This geometrically necessitates the *Antarctic 24 hour midnight sun* during the December solstice :D You can also discern the unmistakable constellation *Scorpius* high in the sky (which only occurs in the southern hemisphere). The stars and sun rotate counter-clockwise and as an added bonus; you even get a lovely glimpse of the *inverted moon* (upside down relative to the northern hemisphere). All of these are damn good indicators of genuine authenticity :P

I am currently studying environmental studies and geology with the hopes of one day being able to work in Antarctica.

I wish we could see the inside too ... I'd like to stay there for some time ... I should have tried to become a scientist :( (assuming they allow non-UK people there too).

Nice video, but what's so important? I doubt anything in Antartica is crucial for the planet's well being. And if there is, then they need to change how they're doing things down there asap. It looks to me they've brought heavy machinery, men to operate them, airplanes, supplies, etc. How can polluting the last place on Earth be of any benefit to humanity or the planet?
