if you pay attention to Micheal in the first one and this one- he really celebrates halloween. He dresses up, goes door to door to play tricks, and sets up spooky displays for all to enjoy. its part of what makes him special.

* When we started seeing some of the theatrical release posters of this film, we honestly thought it was going to be called *HALLOWEEN:* *Face* *Your* *Fate.* Because that's what it said on the poster, and we certainly didn't think they were going to name a 3rd Halloween film simply, "Halloween" again...........but they did it. I get it, it's actually called *HALLOWEEN:* *Twenty* *Eighteen,* because it rhymes. Like *HALLOWEEN:* *H20,* which has nothing to do with water, and really doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I'd like to see a movie about the show "H20". Have you seen how Phoebe Tonkin looks now, or when she was in her 20's. Holy mother of God she is hot, but I digress. * There were those who tried really hard to connect every Halloween movie together into some kind of cohesive storyline. It went something like this: Halloween 1, Halloween 2, Halloween 3(film's antagonist and Cult of Thorn's westcoast chapter high priest "Conal Cochran" is forced to turn up his timetables prematurely while Michael recovers at cult headquarters "Ridgemont Federal Sanitarium" under the care of cult leader high priest and administrator "Dr. Eldridge Warren Hoffman", using Mrs. Minnie Blankenship as the liaison for the two chapters), Halloween 4, Halloween 5 and Halloween 6. * Next, would come Halloween 7("H20", and according to fans who want to link it to the rest of the series, you would either have to ignore what the police officer said in H20 about nobody seeing Michael Myers in 20 years, or it would have to be taking place in 2015 - 20 years after Halloween 6), Halloween 8("Resurrection", which would have to be taking place 1 or 2 years after H20, even though it's supposed to be taking place 3 years after - which would place it at 2018, and since "Resurrection" and "2018" can't be taking place on the same Halloween, something would have to give in order to make it work. * The only thing you can do, is say that "Resurrection" is taking place in 2016 or 2017. The more popular choice seems to be 2017, which is only 1 year before the 2018 film, and when you watch the 2018 film, it certainly doesn't seem like it's only been 1 year since Laurie's seen Michael. I guess it simply boils down to whatever fan theory each individual fan would prefer to subscribe to. You would also have to say that Laurie survived being stabbed in the back by Michael, and being dropped off the roof of that psychiatric hospital, landing on a hedge or something, breaking her fall somewhat. * You would also need to say that when the nurse at the beginning of the movie says that H20 was 20 years after the first murders, that she means 20 years after the murders that took place in "Halloween 6", and when she says that H20 was 3 years ago, you'd have to assume that she was mistaken, and that she meant 2 years. It's a simple mistake that anyone could make). Rob Zombie's "Halloween" and "Halloween II" can replace their 1978 and 1981 counterparts if a fan so desires, and then continue with Halloween III and IV and so on, and so fourth, but that's all that you can do with the Rob Zombie films. * So far, I haven't met so much as one person who prefers the Rob Zombie Halloween films over John Carpenters. Maybe if Rob had decided to do something original(like come up with an original story), instead of simply doing remakes, his Halloween movies might've even been a beloved part of the franchise but, there ya go, lesson learned. Then, Halloween 9("2018", in which, they say in the film that Michael had been in the "Smiths Grove Maximum Security Sanitarium" for 40 years. Well, if you wanna connect all the movies together, he may not have been at Smiths Grove for the past 40 "consecutive" years, but he has been there for a total of 40 years, if you add up all the years that's he's been in and out of there for the past 55 years. * Let's do the math together. He was there from 1963 - 1978 = 15 years, then he was there from 1989 - 1995 = 6 years + 15 years = 21 years. Then, he was captured 2 years after "Halloween 6" in 1997 and was committed to the now "maximum" security sanitarium of Smiths Grove. Then, he escaped immediately before the events in H20 in 2015 - one of the theoretical years that some fans claim H20 would have to be taking place. In either case, that means he spent another 18 years in Smiths Grove, was recaptured at the end of "Resurrection", and is committed to Smiths Grove until he escapes again 1 year later during the events of "Halloween: 2018". The 15 years, 6 years, 18 years and 1 year all add up to.....drum roll please, wait for it....YES! 40 years! Taa daa. * I realize that in this film, "Allyson Nelson" mentions that Michael is not her great uncle, but it's very possible that Laurie lied to Karen and Allyson about that so they wouldn't worry about it or be hounded by everyone about it, so that they could focus on school, relationships, hobbies, their social lifes, and their careers). So there ya go. That is quite literally the only way that you can connect all of the Halloween movies together into some form of coherent storyline. Obviously, Laurie would've had to have married "Jimmy Lloyd"(from Halloween II, 1981, so obviously he survived. * In the made for t.v. version of "Halloween II" they even have an added scene at the end of the film that shows us that Jimmy survived, and even sits up in the same ambulance, trying to make us think it's Michael. Sometime after high school graduation, they get married and Laurie gets pregnant with who would become "Jamie Lloyd"). Jamie is born in 1980, however, sometime after that, Jimmy dies from an aneurysm complication from the concussion he suffered in 1978. * Between the trauma of Halloween 1978, the unexpected death of her husband, and the postpartum depression she was now suffering from, it proved to be way too much for Laurie to deal with and was committed to a psychiatric hospital. Jamie was then sent to a foster home run by a couple named "Richard and Darlene" who's daughter Laurie used to babysit. When Laurie was released from the hospital, she moves to "Summer Glen, CA", legally changes her name to "Keri", and marries a man who's last name was "Tate". Possibly as early as 1982, they have a daughter they named "Karen"(who appears in "Halloween 2018", and could be as old as "36"). * Then 1994, the state takes Karen(only 12 years old) away from Laurie(I mean "Keri") and her husband. A year later, Jamie gives birth to Michael's son. She is murdered by Michael the night before Halloween in 1995. Jamie was only 15 years old. Tom Doyle finds Jamie and Michael's son, and he names him "Steven". Tom Doyle and Kara Strode(Laurie's adoptive niece, the daughter of her adoptive brother "John Strode" - who Michael electrocutes to death in Halloween 6 by the way) decide to take care of Steven. Not long after that, Kara adopts Steven, but then she moves out of state. In 1998, Laurie(Keri) gives birth to her son "John"(who appears in "H20" in 2015, and is 17 years old at that time). * Because of the problems Laurie's trauma was still causing her, the marriage eventually ended in divorce. In 2001, Laurie's daughter "Karen Tate" gets pregnant at the age of 19 by her boyfriend "Ray Nelson". As you can imagine, Laurie(Keri) does not get along with Ray very well at all because of this. Ray talks Karen into moving to Haddonfield, and they eventually get married. Karen gives birth to her daughter that they decide to name "Allyson". Then 14 years later, the events in "H20" take place, and as we saw in "Resurrection", when Laurie(Keri) discovers that she accidently murdered a paramedic(who had a wife and children of his own), she could not deal with it mentally and was once again committed to a psychiatric hospital. She was not allowed any visitors. * Laurie's husband was then given custody and primary placement of John who is 17, and he moves in with his dad switching schools and getting some therapy of his own. Two years later, in 2017, is when Laurie(Keri) is stabbed in the back and dropped from the roof of the psychiatric hospital, in which, she would've had to have landed on a tall hedge or bush in order to survive. Michael assumes that she's dead, steals a car, and drives back to Haddonfield. Laurie is discovered by hospital staff, and is immediately placed in intensive care. The rest of the events in "Halloween: Resurrection" then take place. Laurie eventually recovers from her injuries, and is released from the hospital, and then the psychiatric hospital not too long after that. * Not being able to find her son John, who's father now lived at an undisclosed location, "Keri"(Laurie) legally changes her name back to "Laurie Strode", and moves back to Haddonfield again so she can be close to her daughter and granddaughter. She gets a job there, and using leftover inheritance money that she's had in savings for a long time, she starts paying a mortgage on a house. She then begins making preparations for the return of her brother "Michael Myers", who she knows is going to show up sooner or later, which leads us up to the events that take place in "Halloween: 2018", starting on October 29th to October 31st. * Keep in mind that Laurie's adoptive niece "Kara Strode"(she would've been 45 years old in 2018), Kara's son "Dan Strode"(who would be 29 years old in 2018) and Kara's adoptive son "Steve Strode"(who would be 23 years old in 2018) are still out there, and Laurie's son "John Tate"(who would be 20 years old in 2018) is still out there somewhere. So, this was just an exercise on how all of these movies could be fit together, and work into some kind of cohesive storyline, that "kind-of" works I guess. It's really up to each individual fan what they wanna do. This is just how it could work for those fans who would like to try to fit it all together somehow. Now, onto *Halloween:* *Kills.* 🔪🎃

This is just another timeline the David Gordon Green timeline/trilogy. I will say this movie and Kills were solid, Ends is a different story lol but I'm curious about your reaction once you get to those. Miramax got the rights to Halloween recently few months back they announced they're going to do another reboot and a TV series. Nice reaction!
