Ahhhh...thank you for the 💖! Just a thought. Have you ever taken the moving rubber hands & put them in the ground that work by batteries? When out in the field in the Army one Hallween I broke opened some plastic glow sticks poured it close to the hands by a bush., in the glow of the full moon it at first really scared the newbees 😂😁 No one ever found out who put the sheets ghost dummy in the captain's humvee, sitting in the driver's seat with An Army captains hat & sun glasses on. It was me! He got a kick out of it & was a really cool guy, we all luved him.

@@HollywoodHaunter One time me and another person was doing guard duty while in the Army and the folks that were soposed to relieve us were really late. I got on the machine gun that had blanks and fired away and it woke up the whole camp. Just my luck that another Army team playing war games were just about to come into our camp and boy did they get a surprise!!! I about pulled a male officer out of his hummer window (Me & my partner were playing like they were really the bad guys😂😁) The officer was yelling that he was on our side and was trying to show his real uniform under the one he was wearing. We had a blast. Ahhh the good old days.

One of the best crafted yard haunts I've ever seen. Nothing half done, tacky or store bought. I am happy even when someone's yard is cluttered with dollar store tombstones and cheap animated props, as long as they are having fun. But this guy is a craftsman of the highest caliber.

We finished making our flying crank ghost and it was running in the garage to make sure all was well. We needed a name for her because every other "human" form in the yard has a name; the grave grabber's name is Doug because he dug himself out of the grave and the cauldron creep's name is Mr. Willer, after a guy I worked with who was very skilled at stirring things up. So we couldn't come up with a crafty name for the FCG, we are sitting there discussing names and watching her go up and down, and on the radio Pink Floyd's song "Vera"started playing. As you may or may not know that song references Vera Lynn's song "We'll meet again". So between your Charlotte story and the Vera Lynn music and tombstone in your haunt I thought I'd share. PS: you know how whole neighborhoods get together for Christmas decorating...you know where I'm going with this.

I grew up with Disney World in my backyard so that meant ever since I was a kid I spend every weekend at Disney World. My father worked there for many years my sister and my brother also I when I got married my mother-in-law work there. So we always had free tickets to Disney World. My stepfather owned orange groves behind Disney World select night we got to watch the fireworks and on the weekends the hot air balloons would fly by. I guess you could always throw some camo netting down over them. I have seen some people use sprinkler pipe they plumbed throughout the yard to run all their cables through. Cool thing is so many decorations are either wireless or battery operated now.

@@edtsch Many home haunters use the monster mud or dry lock paint because $ and I think it works great for yard decorations. We have used mortar called flexbond and then paint and a clear coat many times and it works as well. Many of our props and items we make for other people I prefer to use resins and epoxies. We have used several products from smooth-on but there is many other products like foam coat etc. you can try. Just depends if spending the money is work it for you. We have several foam carving videos of different props you many want to skip through to see some different products we have tried if your interested. Thanks for stopping by.

I believe its just an ingredient either in paint or additive for paint to thicken or add an elastic texture. That's my very non scientific guess anyway.

26:49 so I know that must be a bit for dremeling and taking out large areas to add ' depth ' in tombstones but what is it called? and is it strictly router or is it just a Dremel bit? I need something for taking out large areas fast where they also require little sanding, p.s. love his yard and his tombstones very realistic looking
@VanOaksProps

FordFalcon1962nBlue it’s a dremel router cup with a spare piece of plexiglass attached to it to give a wider platform & help keep the dremel bit level.
@FordFalcon1962nBlue
@FordFalcon1962nBlue 5 жыл бұрын
@@VanOaksProps is it glued on? or did you Dremel/cut into the plexi a ring in order to have the cup slide into place? looks like you also have some sort of gasket or seal on the ring edge , I think this would beat the Dremel plunge tool I was about to purchase
@VanOaksProps
@VanOaksProps 5 жыл бұрын
@@FordFalcon1962nBlue Yes. The $19 Dremel Rotary Cutting kit depth "cup" is super glued onto the plexiglass. I just took a piece of plexiglass, used a Forstner or spade bit to cut a 1" hole through it and then glued the cup to the plexi. No gasket.

thanks so much I think will order some plexi glass or find some and do this same method- I would thinkthis would be much easier than the 25.00 Dremel plunge tool, thanks so much and happy haunting!

I once put a rubber hand attached to an arm hanging out of my car and put a ring on it to make it more real & drove down the highway in the 70's.. Folks were honking their horns & pointing to the back of my car. Someone must have called the police & I was pulled over by a sargent who had a rookie partner who was real gong hoe, but the sargent had checked the hand & knew it wasn't real & he ordered his rookie to have me open the trunk by me giving the rookie my trunk key. When the arm fell down the rookie nearly fainted, it was night time so it added to the hand/arm looking more real. The sargent about died laughing. They told me not to do it again & I never did, but it was funny.

@@beverleyclough7787 Ohhhhh I wish we'd had cell phones back then. You should have seen the look on our 'mean' Drill Sargent's face when I threw the smoke granade that looked like a real granade between the Drill' s legs !😄😃😂😁 Yup I kind of got in trouble for that...because the Drill tried to make me do a million push ups for it....that's when I told him I'd been a Drill Sargent in the USARS for 7 years and that according to regulations the D.I. would HAVE TO do the push ups or whatever along with the trainee. He took a chill pill. While in the regular Army I played with our new LT. as he asked how was it that we knew what side of a camo net to put down. (Green side for summer and brown side for fall) I said that you look for the tag that says; "this side up sir." My captain saw that his Lt. was looking all over the camo net on the ground. I stated yes that I was playing with his new LT. again. The Captain gave me a punishment of having to use my forklift to move all the supplies (a long line ) over one foot to the right by the time he got back. He left and I moved the rope line a foot closer to the long line of surplies😁 Cap was happy. When I was a Drill Sargent in the regular Army I swore I would treat my trainees the way I wanted to be treated. I didn't 'yell' unless really had too and in all the time I was a Drill not one person got hurt and not one went AWOL (absent without leave) One officer nearly got one of my trainees killed and I went off on jr. up ...down.. all over ! When he then threatened me I didn't say a word and my troops surrounded him weapons drawn. The dude took a chill pill but not before my troops scared that guy big time. Latter that year someone shot and killed the guy while he was in some outting, the dude must have tic someone off. Pretty neat times. kzfaq.info/love/r4MpkW7pBT5E1booAeDgQQ If you like Ghosts please drop by and say "hi" . 👻🤘💖
