Halloween Museum Tour - Collection of Vintage Decorations for Midsummer Scream

It was my absolute pleasure to be asked to participate in the Museum of Halloween held at the 2022 Midsummer Scream Convention in Long Beach California. The exhibit was a collection of Vintage Halloween items from the early 1920's through the 1990's. Several collectors came together sharing their collections for the public to view. There were blow molds, tin noisemakers, paper Mache, board games, model kits, costumes, vinyl records, treat bags, candy containers, comic books, and trick or treat pails and buckets. A wonderful recreation of the Frankenstein Monster.
Seeing everything put together like and old Woolworths store or five and dime store was just incredible. I hope you enjoy seeing these collections and it brings back memories of past Halloweens.

Some of the cutouts I remember being up in my classrooms as a kid. For me vintage Halloween will always be Topstone masks and the sound effects record by D Records called Halloween.

Fun stuff & glad I lived thru those times. Weebles wobble & they don't fall down, my favorite. The glow-in-the-dark ghost was the best! Why have we or our parents thrown things away from the past because it was thought to be junk? Happy to see there are other old souls out there.

I had that Thrilling Chilling Sounds of A Haunted House album and several others, I used to set a speaker in the basement window and play them on Halloween. One year I had several kids sitting outside the window on the lawn just listening to the stories. I think one of them had the Legend of Sleepy Hollow on it.

Oh my gosh, what a fantastic memory ❤️ I used to go in my brother's room and sit in his closet and turn the chilling sounds on. I always scared myself and would run out of the room and have him turn the player off for me 😆

Can't believe we are getting geared up for Halloween again. Weeble's Haunted House, Star Wars masks, etc....oh, the memories; time goes by way too fast. Pretty cool stuff though.

@@HollywoodHaunter No, I did not play with them, they were 3-D models of my favorite monster and superhero characters. That's why when I learned how to make life sized statues, I really got into it and made the statues out of the poses from those Aurora models. You can see in my yard on KZfaq if you type in "Stutts Halloween Yard", the Universal monsters are posed from the Aurora models and the Headless Horseman is from Disney's cartoon. I'm starting to add programed lights to the displays. Hope you enjoy the 2021 video.

Wow seeing some of those vintage Halloween decorations brought back memories from when I was a kid at Halloween. My mom use to have some vintage Halloween decorations but over the years they either got broken lost or fell apart.

I know watching this video brought back memories for me when I was a kid at Halloween. My mom told me that she and my dad had this I think it was called a 45 record those little mini ones for us as kids and it played songs and had stories about Halloween and she said she use to have to play it over and over for us because we loved it so much. Not sure what happened to that record but it was another goodie from my childhood

I loaned them 6 tubs of stuff. The whole collection in the first large glass case on the bottom was mine, the record albums, a good portion of the table top blow molds and nugget buddies and buckets were from me.
