This is a gem. I'm envious of the fact that you actually have footage like this of you and friends playing Halo 2 on the original Xbox. I wish I had recorded me and my buddies on the game back in the day so I could relive those memories again...

same... I didn't have a good enough internet/computer to record (not to mention ability to even record console) until way later. Like 2017 after I stopped playing with friends.

@@ken34ima sound like a fuckin telemarketer, but if you have the ogx and a headset now, you can mod it to run insignia (xbox live 1.0 revival, has halo 2) or if you dont want to mod theres xlink kai which uses system link

The compressed game chat audio really adds a charm that is very difficult to replicate (especially with the high bitrate audio we have now) and makes me wish I played Halo 2 back in the day, even though I wasn't around for very long. I did play Halo 3 and Reach online in around 2014 and up, though!

You just plug in the cable,go to xbox live section,chose join xbox live,and just follow the directions,only takes like 20 min or so.

How did you record like this? For it’s time it must’ve been complex? Nobody was really able to record through screen capture how did you do so?

I had a capture card for my pc, it.connected internally through pci. On the back of the card was a/v(red, white, yellow) and a coaxial hook up. I couldn't just hook the Xbox up to the card tho, cause there was a huge delay when recording on the pc. So I had to buy an a/v splitter. Ran the TV and the Xbox to the splitter, then hook the splitter up to the pc capture card. So yea. A little complex lol.

The company that took over the halo franchise should either; 1. remake all, or a lot of the halo 2 maps for Reach 2. make a "cheap" downloadable port to the 360 that allows for online gameplay through 360 live or 3. Heavily market halo 2 vista to get more people to buy that(I know that was a different company, but it still has online play) -And for those who would bitch about how they don't want vista or 7, buy 2 Gb of RAM and upgrade, it's really not that bad.

same thing happened to me!!!! go to the dashboard with halo 2 not in the console and change your settings. it will say something like blocked or something. anyway, it happened to me yesterday!! email me for more information!

use xlink u can play online game using system link. xlink connects u to the internet but it tells ur xbox that every 1 is on ur LAN so u can play with them in sytem link its really fun its like the private server games that u get on pc games but on xbox. u need to connect ur xbox to a computer using ethernet and bridge ur internet connection to ur xbox connect on ur computer sign in join an arena in xlink and join a game :) needs more people so spread the word. look up "how to use xlink" 4 help
