Master Chief taking on Didact's mother ship with this music going will be one of my favorite Halo moment's.

For a brick, he flew pretty good.

The fact that he flew a nuke into enemy territory and was certain he wasnt coming back was pretty badass.

Songs dont need vocals to tell a story, and this song is flippin epic no matter how the game was!

Honestly this was probably the best way to end the Halo Series. It's bittersweet. Chief saved the day again, but Cortana had to sacrifice herself to do it. the last remnants of the Covenant that we know of are dead or defeated, and the Arbiter is probably cleaning them up now as Chief reminisces about Cortana, missing her greatly but knowing there was no other way. Aside from smaller conflicts that can never truly be prevented entirely, for they're just too frequent, the galaxy is at peace and will remain that way for a long time. The only things I would change to make this the perfect final game would be to have the Infinity on the breaking point by the time Chief arrives at that big area where he takes out the cannons, and then right as he takes out the first, Lasky starts to say abandon ship, until we hear a familiar voice over the comms. "Stay your course, Infinity. Sanghelios will stand with Humanity." It's the Arbiter, and he's brought his entire fleet to save Earth. Taking most of the heat off of the Infinity, Lasky's men are able to repair the ship's mac gun in time to fire off a round that penetrates the Didact's ship's hull, allowing Chief to get inside and do what he does best: Save the day.

This theme.....just sometimes fills you up with hope and no matter how hard things get this theme always reminds you to push forward and no matter what don't look back, because nothing can be worse. Things always get better. If you ever think they don't just look up into the stars and keep moving forward to them.

This song '117' is definitely one of the best pieces of music in the entire series. I, personally, think it betters the original Halo main theme. It goes through stages, tells a story; and then ends on one of the most epic climaxes which adds a pinch of familiarity by mixing the original theme into it for a brief moment. It's just so much more dynamic. The Mjolnir Mix probably gives me as much goosebumps, though.

In my opinion I have enjoyed every Halo game 343 or not I loved all of them.

Halo 4 was, in my view, one of those rare gems of a generation, much like halo 2 in the 6th gen era, or Tom Baker in the Classic Doctor Who era. It had one hell of a story, kickass new characters, and incredible visuals. If one thing is bad about this game, i honestly haven't seen it. The scores are incredible, the gameplay is very well fluid, and the graphics push the hardware to its limit, so Props to 343, you won my halo heart :D

This game is about your story and that you can become a legend. So what they gave him the name John. It is just another name. The man under the helmet is you this is your story .You are the one who people will always put down, just to see you rise again and become something more than anyone can imagine. All the other games have a face and a name. This is your story so treat that way , because there is no greater hero then you. . . Chief

5:26 is where the "From the Cradle..." part kicks in, where you have to destroy the weapons so Infinity can attack the Composer.

Both the Broadsword song and Arrival that play during the last level are two of the best soundtracks from Halo 4. Playing on Solo Legendary and having those two songs pump me up the entire time were the best.

It annoys me to see how much people hate Halo 4 for being different . I would rather have a game developer that tries to bring new ideas then just release the same thing over and over.

I like how this score captures his heroic nature. And how toward then end it makes you feel as if he's searching and finds nothing at the destination.

If 343 had ANYTHING to brag about, it's this music, the level it belongs to, and the music and level ahead of it. Those last 2 levels are without a doubt legendary. It reminds you what you as a Spartan II are fighting for. You are, and likely will be till the day you die, a soldier who puts his life on the line to defend humanity. I hope 343 is proud of this, because not only is it the one thing they got right, but they did it spectacularly.

This video is the first video I have ever seen with zero dislikes, this just goes to show that the time and effort that 343 put into makeing this masterpiece was worth it. this music should be played by radio stations and played in orcastras in the years to come.

Nothing beats playing through every freaking halo on legendary and getting to this point. Especially if you can so it without dying in that final flight section its so epic.

I loved this level. It really reminded me of Starfox, and the music had such an epic feel to it and made you feel like the fate of the world was up to you.

6:09 the usage of the classic Halo motifs in this amazing moment was so intense and I loved it.

Just finished the MC Collection, from start to finish on legendary and even though I agree the first is the best, 343 Halo 4 is the most personal, in my opinion we will see the most character growth of MC ever. The original trilogy served as a introduction to the Halo universe, the conclusion of the Human/Covenant war but the new trilogy will explore MC humanity and destiny and will end with his death, it will be a emotional roller coaster ride for true Halo fans. I can not wait for Halo 5, it will be EPIC.

Halo 4 had its flaws, the campaign had too many instances of pushing buttons, but the game HAD the BEST story and character interaction between cheif and cortana, AND had some of the best music, a great but flawed game.

This is the most Gundam like music from the game. Almost Sawano Hiroyuki levels of epicness

Also, I loved the dialoge in this part of the mission with the music. It made it, for lack of a better term, more epic. I felt like I had to complete the job. Even before playing the game and listening to this I figured this was either a pivotal scene in game, or the opening or closing credits piece. It works in any of those situations and I was glad when they put it in the credits too

It's funny how the first time you die the soundtrack changes to this. It really keeps you going.

This part in the campaign gave me goosebumps and chills, this music playing, the infinity and unsc guys talking on the radio, the earth above me. I felt like master chief himself, so awesome!! Even if you bring back the old soundtrack, definatlly keep this music, it's awesome!! :)

Reach: The fantastic game everyone had a love-hate relationship with because you couldn't play as Chief. Wars: The game that became the best RTS on console and provided us with a new take on the Halo universe everyone hated because there was no FPS action. ODST: The game with an amazing atmosphere and immersive campaign everyone hated because it didn't feature a spartan and was a little too expensive. 4: The game that was trashed by gamers worldwide because 343 made it and with good reasons, killed off Cortana. 5: The game that is already being bagged by gamers because 343 is making it.

this soundtrack was the redemption of the broadsword segment for me. i was playing splitscreen with one of my siblings who is still learning games, so my FoV is restricted, and out screen was dimmed for some reason, so i was trying to avoid dark objects on a dark screen. this soundtrack made that slightly less frustrating. not to say dying 10 times because i have an 8 year old squealing in my ear isnt annoying, but the soundtrack helped alot

That and the fact that every once in a while you could hear the music begin to replay.

This is by far my favorite piece out of the entire Halo 4 Soundtrack, it gave me chills just like the music in the previous games and it felt Halo, even though it wasn't Marty composing it. Now for people that say Halo 4 was a let down I ask how was it? Story wise this was probably the best Halo there was to date, people may hate that I say that, but you have to ask why would I say that. Reason is I've read all of the Novels, I know all of the back stories involving the Forerunner Saga. Why the Didact hated humans, etc. So until you know everything that has happened and why it all happened you can't judge Halo 4 for having the worst story, because it made the Chiefs Story more human, more down to earth and this is the first time the Novels, and Games have truly fallen into place, I'm excited to see where Halo 5 will take us now in Chiefs Story and life and how they will stop the Precursors/Flood once and for all.

I Loved Halo 4, and honestly had no problems with it. why? because halo is halo. i don't make a distinction between them because it's all the same story and universe. it's the same thing as not caring about the differences between the prequel trilogy in Star Wars and the original trilogy. Halo will always be Halo, Star wars will always be star wars, Marvel will always be Marvel, Gears of war will always be Gears of War, Ect...

I didn't know this actually was the Chief's official theme until now, but when I first heard this song on Midnight, that's what it INSTANTLY stuck in my head as. Don't get me wrong, Rock Anthem's a great song, but it's more Halo's theme than anything. THIS is the theme of John 117.

I'll probably be murdered for this, but Halo 4 was the only Halo I really liked. I loved the music and story. I found the other Halo's to be less...Well, emotional really. Halo 1,2, and 3 were all kind of centered around fighting and not really charaters. I only recently started Halo though, and Halo 4 was the first I ever tried, then 3, then 1, then Wars, then 2, then CE Anniversary, so that's probably why I liked 4 so much more.

I wish the forerunners still existed in the halo universe. Considering Chief's armor is classified level 2, and forerunner armor is level 12, it would be cool to see a forerunner in action.

I used to think Battlefield 1943 was the best music to be found in any game, anywhere. But this... I don't even know any more! It's still got the original Halo rythym in the background, but sounds more like a film soundtrack than game music. Brilliant.

halo 4 was fun I wish 343i should have kept the things that made halo a halo game create your own class? its fine, but that makes things unbalanced as fuck, plus no more fun "charge in with AR then melee" because everyone is using the BR, DMR, or LR campaign was meh, (story was nice though) wish they added theater mode for spartan ops and campaign (I blame the stupid qte events, even if they are only like 3 I have a feeling they contributed to the reason why there is no theater for campaign and spartan ops)

I just don't like 4's armour, reach had WAY BETTER looking armour, other wise it was a good game

In one of the missions in halo 4 (I believe it's called Composer), it had the classic opera like part from the halo theme. It's the mission when you see the Halo. They also had a remake of halo 3's 'Never Forget'.

Out of all the Halo games i think 4 had the weakest soundtrack. But this track right here is one of my favorites in Halo.
