Yoinking is one of the most annoying things in Halo. If someone steals your kill while you're in the assassination animation, you should get credit for the kill, and they should get an assist. Not awarding the player who shot your rightfully earned kill. The yoink medal can still be in of course, but should just be given along with an assist medal. But instead players who assassinate are at the mercy of asshole teammates who would just steal your kill for the sake of it.

I've always thought that Halo should give the assist to the player who does the least amount of damage. So a player who takes the final shot would get the assist and the player who did most of the damage would get the kill

+Montana Billings That's what I always thought. Especially with bosses, I don't know how many times a boss kill has been yoinked. When Warden Eternal is up and it's whoever defeats him wins usually my team have scorpions, snipers, banshees and phaetons shooting at it then the enemy team would get one of their players to shoot it with an assault rifle and they'd get it. I really irritates me when stuff like that happens.

Wyatt Maniscalco I'm always nervous to use higher reqs, every time I do I get instakilled. Last time I used Nornfang I got trampled to death by a moose. Never again.

Don’t know what’s worse: those annoying players, or team killers who just want the weapons anyway.

I’ve picked up high reqs but the moment a teammate starts shooting at me or hitting me I’ll just turn and look that them pull the weapon out and usually they’ll shake their head or t-bag so I give it back. Same thing with assassinations. I let people finish them cause I’d be pissed if somebody took mine
