Halo CE AI Battle - Marines vs Jackals

Here's a very simple Halo CE AI Battle, with Marines fighting Jackals.
The rules are simple:
Each time a team loses they gain a unit - for example 1 Marine kills 1 Jackal, the next round will be 1 Marine fighting 2 Jackals.
Every third unit is a upgraded unit - for example the third Marine the team gains (after losing 2 fights) will have a Shotgun instead of an Assault Rifle.
The first team to lose the fight with 10 units loses - 10 Marines v 6 Jackals, if the Jackals kill the 10 Marines the Jackals win the AI
Battle.

In Halo 1 you can make the marine wield any weapon in Halo 1 by using a modding tool:- Go to actv folder, select Marine. Click on Reference Swapper then change the weapon.

thats why I love halo 1 and 2, the squad banter. Only gets much better in halo 2 with the covenant squad banter when you play as the arbiter.

just a random person nope, the first 2 shots fired are accurate hits and will deal alot of damage at range well at full auto they would probably die because when fired at auto you can tell the spread is greater well in Halo 3 the fire rate was reduced to make it more accurate at medium range

Just a small detail that I thought was cool at 5:36 when the Marine pumps the shotgun you can actually see the pump being racked back. I love it when devs put in the effort to animate that kind of stuff.

there's plenty of nice details like that. You can also see the shells from the shotgun and assault rifles fly out, and when firing the scorpion's aux gun or Warthog gun, it basically forms a stream of spent shells that even have gravity and roll down hills and such.

KILLimanjaro Unfriggenbelievable humans while far less numerous are better ground fighters than covenant. Only reason covenant almost killed humanity was their far superior space ship tech.

Triadic dah Gangsta not really. I saw a marine kill an entire grunt patrol or something I don’t know what it’s called lol. He killed the minor elite and the rest of the grunts in it without dying. But it was on heroic difficulty on reach

You obviously have never encountered a Golden Sword Elite on Legendary. Bastards run faster than you, have more health than you, have nearly indestructible shields, and can kill you in a single hit from ridiculous range. All you have to do to beat Jackals is shoot their hand that hold their gun and then blast them with bullets when they recoil from the shot to their hand.

Johnson, Stacker (the other Marine sergeant in Halo 1) and Chips Dubbo (Aussie man) all survived the first game. Johnson surviving was explained in a book, but the other two made it off the ringworld with no explanation.

I didn't set a difficulty, it's just on it's default for custom maps.

Sod but what is that default difficulty? Normal? Heroic? Is there a way of knowing what it is before you start these or does it automatically change between difficulties?

I'm not sure, I'd say it would be "normal" You can set the difficulty in the console before loading the map, but I just left it as it was (whatever that may be)

The default difficulty is normal for most maps, if you have devmode on you can change it with this command while replacing the word difficulty with either easy, normal, hard, or impossible. Hard being heroic and impossible being legendary. game_difficulty_set DIfficulty Example: game_difficulty_set impossible
