You'd say I wasn't doing it right because I am running past stuff. There is no winning with your lack of understanding in what speedrunning is. As you'll just move the goal post.

@@shawzymusic "Of all time" without using "greatest" or "worst" is usually used as a phrase for something completely unremarkable. So the Truth and Reconcilliation (TnR) was pretty meh but the Two Betrayals (TB) was the best TB I had ever had.

This video was too long. Halfway through it, I got hungry so I left it playing and went to the kitchen to fix myself a sandwich. But then I found out that I'm out of mayonnaise so I went to a store. There, I saw the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my whole life. But I'm a really shy person so I took up a three-year personality development course so I could introduce myself. She was very friendly and all, but unfortunately, she had a boyfriend. So I said, all good, I'm a mature person. I wanted the best for her and I harbored no illusion that I am the best person for her and she seemed happy with her boyfriend, so I didn't bother her anymore. But we kept in touch and we became friends and I got over my crush on her. Then she broke up with her boyfriend, we drank some alcohol because of it. I told her she'll be fine and I wished her well. I still think she's the most beautiful woman in the world, but like I said, I am over my crush on her. It was like five years already since I first saw her. Besides, I am quite happy with the friendship I developed with her. It was more important than a crush. So we kept hanging out, drinking, having coffee, and all. I had a girlfriend, she started dating other guys. My girlfriend wanted to live some other life without me in it, so I said, "Okay, I want the best for you and I want you to pursue your happiness." My lady friend and I drank alcohol about it, and she gave me the same advice I gave her when she was in that position and I became okay with the breakup immediately. But we were really drunk, so she spent the night in my apartment. I only have one bed, so you know what that means: She took the bed and I slept on the couch. But on the couch, I really can't sleep. Something was bothering me. So I tossed and turned for about three hours, then I finally couldn''t take it anymore, I stood up and went straight to my room where she's sleeping. I approached the bed, gently sat on it and I reached for her shoulder to pull her closer to me. She stirred and woke up. She asked what's up. I told her, "you know, the first time I saw you, I was watching a video and left it playing to get myself a sandwich then went to the store to get some mayo then I got so distracted by life that I forgot to finish the video." She said, "You know what, I've been wondering about a weird noise in your night drawer." So we opened that drawer, and lo and behold, there's my phone and this video still has two minutes of play time on it.

On Halo start. It skips dialogue on the 3 first ships saving about 15 seconds. No dialogue on the 3rd ship opens up a window for the 4th ship to spawn before the 2nd ship despawns. Since those are both the same ship, one will overwrite the other and then delete itself. For the rest of Halo, clearing the Marines finishes the area except the last area which you'll need to kill the last group of covenant for. On TnR, we kill the Marines at the start in order to get reinforcements before the lift fight. Saving about 45 seconds. You don't need to kill them if you grab the camo. But that is slow. Then for the end of TnR, we get the Marines angry with us to skip their dialogue at the end.

LOL. Nah, I'm pretty happy. Sad it wasn't the 1:02 but I still have fun with the game (even as much as I complain sometimes). Pretty much every speedrunner feels this way when they are at the top level.

If you're just going for the 3hr achievement. To make it easy, you only really need to learn TnR Nade stack (do triple nade then just walk around to the 3rd floor). SC door fling (just do the camo exit). AotCR Banshee grab. Keyes flood bump. Could get a 40 minute TB and still have a lot of time to spare.

@@SlothSG I believe in you! Also, speaking of Library, I saw you do multiple rightward 360s after the uncooperative ceiling teleport. Is there a technical explanation on why this happens and what all of its implications may be?

@@sathrofloating point values. Doing a full 360 isn't exactly a 360 and the notch you're looking at can be slightly different. 360 turns and frag grenade jumps specifically affect it. The frag jumps throughout the level can mess with it enough to where the lineup doesn't work

Training sequence and the banshee grab on AotCR saves quite a bit of time. Based on realistic human capabilities, easy should be easier to optimize so it should be faster if people grinded it. But on a technical level, legendary is the faster category if it's optimized.

Not with current fullgame strats. IL strats that take 100s to 1000s of attempts yeah. Sum of ILs + unskippable cutscenes is 57:53. Just unlikely to ever hit in a fullgame run

@@kachebele_phiri Originally, people just killed the marines to skip dialogue. Sub_Whistle killed them so fast on easy back in 2014 that he skipped a ship. He started freaking out and thought he was cheating lmao

My guess is that play testers would accidently shoot Keyes the instant they got the gun. So bungie just made it a trigger when leaving the area to just give the pistol. Pretty big oversight they it doesn't wake up until after the black bars tho.

Why did you say you woudlnt run these splits? You would be mega green at the start (because the first half of run wasn't very good?) but why do you assume you will always lose a ton of time to TB? I get that you golded it by a second, but i guess i am too new to understand! It would seem fitting to me to use this split, continue any green run (or atlreast anything -10 sec) and see what TB you get?

The problem with that TB is that I need to do no deload in order to have any chance of not losing time. It's deceptive to be -30 into TB since I would come out of it only about -5 even playing very well unless I do the yolo strats. I would prefer to not have to do no deload on pace since it's much more comfy.

With current strats no. Both Cambid and I have a sum of best around 1:01:30. Adding first floor skip on Library would bring it down close to 1:01:10ish. Still a lot of time to go for sub 1 hour.
