This tutorial has aged surprisingly well!

The trainer bypasses that function because you enable it once you are already in an online game. Basically, you join, or create a game with the hotkey not enabled for devmode, and then hit the hotkey to enable it once the game is started. Then whenever switching games you need to disable it, and re-enable it, otherwise your game will crash.

I had the same problem years ago when I learned to do this. To increase the speed you need to scroll on your scroll wheel while pressing the middle scroll wheel down. I can't remember which way, but that's how you change the speed. You shouldn't actually be stopped, but just moving ridiculously slow.

That is called devtrainer. It's a trainer that runs in the background of halo that gives you access to the developer tools. HaloPC doesn't have devmode readily accessible because you can't really develop whole maps for it. HaloCE you're supposed to make maps, and that's really what devmode is for, but it's fun to use too.

no, but if you're having problems get the thing in the video description link. And it will automatically put -console -devmode into the target when you press the button ingame so you don't need to worry about it. It might solve your problem.

This is written on devmode commands which happen to be implemented through the remote console. So i didn't include console type commands for switching the game and things of that sort because they are a totally different thing.

Just have it running when you play halo, and once you join or make a game just hit the hotkey it says to, to activate devmode. But make sure that when you leave the game or change maps you hit the key to turn it off, or you'll crash. Basically it just enables devmode and console while the game is open tricking it to think you have it off. So you don't need to worry about any target line stuff with that.

You make the camera move faster by scrolling with it while pressing the the middle mouse button down. I'm not sure which way so just do trial and error, if you're in camera mode until it goes faster.

@DANTEandSTEVEN Yup, it should. There are workarounds for using it online too, but that's for the interested parties to find on their own.

It usually is moving extremely slow at first. To increase the speed you need to scroll while pressing the button down. You'll have to trial and error, since I can't remember which way to scroll.

You have to scroll down with the mouse wheel while holding it down. To increase your speed. You're moving, just very very slowly. (If scrolling down doesn't work scroll the other way)

@smallkid444 This link is probably broken now, but if you do find it's it's FPS banana devmode or something. You just run it in the background before starting halo CE. then just hit the hotkeys after you join a server and want to use it.

hey does anybody know how to speed up the speed your camera moves when you do the save/load camera thing?

Can you look around? If so the camera speed might just be really low and you need to scroll to turn it up. Otherwise I'm not exactly sure what could be wrong.

how do you use the HUD's timer, like set it and make it start and stop?

btw the doing this if you know enough commands can do A LOT more than any trainer. This only shows really basic commands I don't know anything else about it really. You can get a program off halomapsDOTorg that lets you use it online, but I don't feel like finding the link.

are you hitting the hotkey when you get in game to turn it on? Even if the hotkey doesn't work, minimize and just click the on button thing.

Put a space before the 1. Unless that's a typo, but that would give you that error since "cheat_deathless_player1" isn't a command. "cheat_deathless_player" is, then you follow it with 1 by signifying a break from the command with a space. So it should be "cheat_deathless_player 1" with a space between the one and the rest.

When ever I use the active camo cheat I can't turn it off... What's the rest if the line for the other camo cheat???

did you type -devmode -console both, since you need the console enabled in order to access it. Also I am using an American keyboard in the video, and ~ is used the access the console, but I believe it might be different on a foreign keyboard, not sure what though.

I don't think vista would effect it. Did you add -console, and -devmode to the end of the target line like it says in the video? You also may have another nations keyboard which the function of the ~ key is slightly different sometimes or located in a different place.

I know that now. Back then I knew it wasn't implemented into gameplay, but I wasn't really sure what it was.

@TheMetroidfanboy Ehrm, No. You have to (making a new icon is easier) remove "-console" and "-devmode" from your start parameters.

I'm pretty sure it's not case-sensitive, and the cheat didn't just miraculously work in the video when it was not written that way, but either way it should work, so go for it!

hi, im getting problems with my resolutions, it only does square-ish resolutions, but my resolution is 1366x768, and it wont go to that resolution in the options. i have a clean copy and whatever but im only getting this problem with custom edition. anyone help please??

try the thing I have linked in the description. It should fix whatever that you did wrong. I'm guessing you didn't type -console after the target line with -devmode.

what camera are you using? I tried all the game cam and Fraps but it starts CE through the cam software not CE itself.

@TheHalowars28 Well, there is no space between console and devmode so it should be like. -console-devmode NOT -console -devmode. Also, if you tried to do it online then it wont work

there is something like devmode that has a options thing and you can make it so you can freeze the game except yourself and you can nthrow grenades and they will stay there until you unfreeze

I think you can get it on fpsbanana. I think you can also get it on halomaps if I remember it correctly. It should be by bitterbanana, in utilities or whatever. I think it's just called devmode or something. I haven't played Custom Edition in over a year.

It might be because you forgot the 1. Or you incorrectly entered the information to start devmode in the target line. If the multiplayer options are unaccessible then devmode is enabled. It should be typed exactly like this without the quotations. "cheat_deathless_player 1"

the gravity gun was an incompleted weapon MEANT for halo, but never actually finished. You can obviously tell since it doesnt contain its own projectile or FP model. People have made CE maps with what they think the gravity gun would have been. :) Just trying to help ya out
