NOTE: This theme is not unique to these characters, it can play during other sections of the game as well. But will always play during their fight. The tone change at 4:28 will also always happen when one of the brothers are killed. That theme plays at other sections throughout the game too

Kill Hyperius first, and Tovarus mocks his defeat and says that Hyperius got what he deserved. Kill Tovarus first on the other hand, and Hyperius is actually heartbroken and vows to defeat you. Nice little touch in the difference of character.

4:42 this part goes unimaginably hard

The potential of these two was absolutely wasted. At the very least, they needed some sort of introductory cutscene. Every other boss gets a cutscene introducing them except for them and these are supposed to be some of the best the Banished have to offer. Listening to this, I could imagine the encounter playing out something like this. Chief is descending from the last AA gun, there are Banished troops all over the place, searching for him and the Echo-216. You start taking them out and a grunt at some point says, "We're done for! Where are the Spartan Killers?" A brute or elite may yell at them to hold their ground until the Tovarus and Hyperius arrive. Then, after you kill maybe half of the group there, a cutscene plays and we first see Hyperius' Chopper cutting through the terrain and leaping over rocks before coming to a halt at the edge of one of the cliffs on the island , the Chopper swerving the side to allow Hyperius a good view of the battle below. In my head it would sync perfectly with the music at 1:20 Tovarus follows just behind on a phantom. The two exchange some lines, I could imagine Tovarus chastising Hyperius for bringing his modified Chopper and considering it dishonourable, based on his supposed affinity for Elite culture and his lines if you kill Hyperius first. Hyperius then responding with something else before hurtling down the cliff with his Chopper towards Chief's position with Tovarus' phantom right behind and so the boss fight would commence. Furthermore I probably would have given the two more presence in the Banished cutscene's as well and have them talk and interact with each other and the other leaders of the Banished. Would help to flesh them out more as well as the other characters. Perhaps have one of them survive the battle and attempt to escape in a cutscene only for Jega to assassinate them for their failure.

I kinda wish these guys weren't killed off so early. There was also a concept art for a Skirmisher spartan killer. Imagine if we got that too. Imagine if Arby and Blue Team fought against the Hand of Atriox, meanwhile Escharum and Chief had their own 1v1 battle.

The most rage inducing boss fight

I love that at around 4:31, it smoothly transitions from imposing terror to a more upheat, heroic tone, I think that starts after the death of one of the brothers. It REALLY helped set the tone of that, while these guys have earned the name of Spartan Killers by ruthlessly hunting down and killing several UNSC personnel on the ring, Spartans included of course, Chief was a Spartan among Spartans, and his reputation is even more fearsome than theirs - and it was his time to instill fear into the heart of the Banished, like they've been doing to the human survivors ever since they landed on Zeta Halo.

How to ruin a villain - place Locke's helmet and chest armour on the shoulder pad of a brute - let Mega Construx toys be the first to reveal this brute and begin speculation - reveal these characters as "Spartan killers" - say nothing else - wait an entire year for the game to come out - just when maximum hype and speculation is achieved, don't do any cutscenes, leave vague dialogue that doesn't truly explain lockes helmet, tease even more instead of actually delivering then kill these two off like they were nothing 343 ladies and gentlemen

My favorite boss fight 🎉

If you kill the chopper brute first the scrap cannon brute will say “That coward deserved what he got! Now face ME Spartan!” But if you kill the scrap cannon brute first the chopper brute will say “BROTHER! NO! I’ll kill you for that Spartan!” Nice touch on their different personalities

Just beat these two on LEGENDARY in 5 minutes using the S7 Sniper Fifle and the Arcane Sentinal Beem. It was amazingly simple. "Spartan Killers? Please, you make it look easy"

This boss has no right to have music this good.

The fight was bad ass I just wish there was a cinematic with these two and more build up leading to the showdown

I get the feeling their cutscene and dialogue were cut... I get the feeling they were gonna have lines mentioning Locke's fate but with his negative reputation from fans and fragile 343 not knowing how to handle critisms, they made his fate vague and not follow up his story...

It sucks how their bodies despawn shortly after you kill them. I really wanted to get a closer look at them, like how one of them has some of Locke’s armor on his shoulder piece. That unique chopper should’ve been an unlockable vehicle too. Edit: Typo
