Fun fact: at the end of this boss fight, the weapon says "that wasn't easy, what if Escharom sends more?" and chief says "Let him." But if you beat these guys on the first try, without dying, like I just did before i came to find this video, the weapon says "You made that look easy!" and Chief says "It was." Really cool attention to detail there.

The fight is cool, but I really wish Chief acknowledged the fact that Locke's helmet is on Hyperius shoulder, which likely means he's been killed.

This boss fight is impossible on legendary. For some reason hyperious got out of his vehicle and uses that spike gun and 1 shots me from anywhere. I literally can’t look at him for 1 second without getting insta killed

Hyperious supposedly fighting and (perhaps) killing Locke, these two bosses lacked a lot. Should've at the least had dedicated cutscenes to flesh them out.

These bosses really needed an introduction cutscene, at least before the fight. They gave the other bosses one. But i feel these really deserved one more seeing as they are the hand of Atriox and Hyperius defeated Locke.

I don't understand how your shots did so much damage to them. I played on heroic and my shots didn't even do a quarter of the damage yours did. Landing headshots every time I ended up using all of the ammo of every gun in that entire area on one of them, then I had to leave and come back with more ammo for the second guy

When I was fighting these guys on legendary I think Tovarus glitched out and just sort of died as I was working my way down to the arena… the weapon just said something like “that’s one” before I even got there, and more Banished reinforcements started landing. And the only one I explicitly killed was Hyperius lol

This boss fight is really infuriating for me. Now seeing this, makes me realize it is just a shoot from a distance fight with hardly any strategy

There's actually a rock launcher and a missile launcher in the broken frigate in the middle of where the bothers spawn can also help

I bet Locke was originally supposed to be Spartan Griffin. Seeing as a some random Spartan was given a dramatic death, cut-scene, and leadership role while Chief was MIA.

I got so mad on this bossfight yesterday. I was cursing like a sailor. I almost killed Hyperius with his chopper but got blown up. After some trial and error, i camped on that platform where the warthog is near the tunnel below. This is how i won that crazy fight 🙄.

Hmmm... at 6:00 he's fighting Tovarus with the OHKO Sniper Rifle (on Legendary) and gets hit for hmm about 90% of MC's shields. Then gets hit AGAIN while recharging and still lives....Legendary...right... more like normal diff. Totally sus

Hey guys, I was able to beat it by following this vid for the scrap canon guy, and then for the chopper I cheesed it. Basically I was full on grenades and threw the stun nade. Chopper stops moving, spam all my nades at it, then before the stun wears off use the second stun nade. The chopper exploded and killed him right as he was getting out of it. I also shot him a bit before doing all that, so his shield was about halfway down. Idk if it was just luck or if that is a consistent strat.

Halo infinite on legendary requires no skill just a lot of patience

Easier way, save a ghost from when destroying the AA guns and bring it to the edge of the area, they won't come after just make sure to use cover. You will honestly kill totarus within a minute of shooting straight with the ghost(requires no effort), then maintaining distance and using cover(stay on the edge of the arena) destroy the chopper hyperius rides then just shoot him from a distance, his main weapon is easy to dodge. Always found it funny, they are spartan killers until they face a spartan on a ghost.

Somehow after I killed Hyperius the battle ended, Tovarus banished lol It must be some kind of bug

It's like there's nothing you can do you're already low in ammo and then you've got the enemies all over the place on top of the bosses. And since there's so many they can just one shot you if you peak for even a second :/

This boss fight felt like the Proving Grounds of Infinite. You got to take on two hard challenges, but you had time to beef up your inventory a bit, and nothing but space and opportunity to duke it out. A few ads here and there to mix it up, but you could slay the ads EASILY, almost as a testament to how far you've come in the game. Ads are just an afterthought compared to taking down a boss standing next to one lol. Great vid!

So dissapointed of this bossfight, i thought hyperius will be a very interesting character but he didnt aport absolutelly nothing to the story, too bad

So FYI there are a total of 6 Marines you can rescue around the West AA guns. Keep them locked up while you clear the enemies in the region so they aren’t accidentally killed. There are multiple Warthogs scattered around. A rocket as well up in the cliff base. So a rocket Marine riding shotgun with a turret manned by second Marine and Hyperius died so fast I didn’t even register it. I parked below Tovarus and he went down in a few seconds. Then mopped up rest of crew. It was insane. On Legendary they just go melted.

For this fight i went back to the banish base to collect 2 marine and equip the one with a sniper with 1 round saved. Then i took the warhog with the 2 marines and lure the brute riding chopper and killed him first and i drove around in circles to finish the other one.

There's a warthog in one of the broken ships and also a rocket launcher. I just stayed there and waited for them to come or goad them into it. They only attack one way despite both side of the ships being open

Rocket marine + gunner marine in a warthog chopped these two brutes up nicely for me. Felt bad leaving the marines behind when I checked out with Echo-216.

It took me an hour to defeat these guys on "normal". Probably 20 respawns. One of them I killed the second guy right before I died, but I didn't get a checkpoint before my guys body fell lmao

I never really had a problem with Tovarus but Everytime Hyperius jumped out of his chopper and rushed me I was doomed. The trick is to blow up his chopper as quick as possible and don't let him jump out. Two rocket launcher shots did him in quite quickly.

I'm more surprised that not a single person has mentioned anywhere that his chopper is golden

I just completed this fight on heroic and it's still aids. I took me a whole hour of dying and doing no damage until managed found a hydra and two spankrs. I still had to finish off the hyperius with Tovarus' scrap cannon after running out of explosives.

I HAVE THE BEST STRATEGY BY FAR... during the whole mission u encounter FOBs. The next part is extremely important. Make sure they are alive and not killed in combat! By the time u get to the brothers they wouldve stayed behind in the map some where. Try and remember their locations. They should be easy to find. When at the brothers get a rocket launcher and a warthog. This is also very important. Go all the way back to get the FOB and equip him/ them the rocket launcher. Once the FOBs have any gun equipped it can be fired an infinite amount of time! So equip an heavy weapon u can find and give it to them. Drive back with the FOB/s to the brothers. Once there, drive up and get extremely close to the brother on the bike. Hell go down in one shot. If not, hell go down stupid fast. Repeat same strategy for the other remaining brother. He might not be as easy cause he tends to fly away when his health gets low, if that's the case, shot him from afar with ur gun or use the warthogs torrent while the FOB/s shots rockets. This is by far the best, easiest, cheesiest strategy there is. Almost broken if u ask me. The FOBs in the game are extremely good and can take a lot of abuse. Have fun!

needed 2 trys on legend for them, with a ghost i killed the chopper guy and the other one got grapling hook punched and than hammertimed down. tip: the chopper guy cant turn fast if you are behind him so you can just circle him with a ghost.

i just grapplejacked the ghost and mowed them down lol

I spent hours just barely getting one of them down in health and eventually killing him. Saved a checkpoint, it was all good but I was getting a bit tired of playing so I continued today. Oh guess what? Checkpoint reset, they're both back and so are all of the enemies. WHAT THE FFFFFF (and yes, I know there are weapons all over, a rocket launcher and even a Warthog, but it still takes time)

Is it just me or do the boss fights on legendary, this one in particular, feel incredibly unbalanced? the only thing i feel myself doing is just running away, searching for ammo and trying to get some shots in while the bosses just know your location everytime and almost instantly kill you if you don't jump into hiding or run away again.

I am so angry at this damn boss fight! I at first beat one brother and then my game glitched and the other disappeared, so my game progress was stuck and I had to restart the WHOLE mission(take out the AA guns). Then I go back again and NOW I have this glitch where I’m not getting a checkpoint after killing one of the brothers 🤬🤬🤬

I struggled so much on this, mostly due to well I grapplejacked the chopper first then it got destroyed so I had to deal with with legendary difficulty hyperius using a sniper rifle on me

I hate myself for having to watch this to get through it but sometimes the deaths feel a little cheap. Or maybe I should get off heroic.

Bro wtf is up with my game. Whenever Tavorus's scrap cannon hit me with a single projectile I would lose 80% of my shields and a second one would kill me. At no point could I just peek out and shoot him like in the video. His health and shields are dropping way too quickly as well. A Skewer shot to the head would only take out 10% of his health. This is the second boss video you guys have published that doesn't add up. Your guys are lying about this being on legendary difficulty.

You know this shit wasn't tested on Legendary when you have to cheese the level to beat it.

yea i just hid under one of the sheltered ship remains with my warthog and mow them down with the turret from a distance.

I only could make it while the two where like glitching in the right Position so I was able to shot them with the warthog canon. This is impossible on legendary...

I got so mad when I beat Hyperious, because I think I accidently destroyed his body, or it clipped through the map. Either way, his body was gone as soon as I beat him and I had to take a minute to get my frustration out of my system. Out of all the bosses, HE was the one I wanted to inspect because HE HAS LOCKE'S FUCKING HELMET ON HIS SHOULDER! THAT'S REALLY IMPORTANT!

shit was insanely fucking hard for me and an insane grind but my strat for hyperius was luring his chopper into a wall where he got stuck for like 10 seconds and spamming the fuvk out of anything that deals damage to him and then repeat until dead and toravius i just chipped at him for like 30 minutes i hate these boss fights only fun boss fight is the monitor

well I brought a skewer, found a warthog and two marines and cheesed this boss fight from far away. On Legendary

This is on easy level... you can tell by the tiny amount of damage the chief takes when shot

Hyperious is too tough. All is okay until he pull out his sniper and one shot me. The sniper makes it too difficult. They give that guy a chopper a high health, a rechargeable sheild and then a one shot sniper. That is ridiculously hard.

Used a ghost, made this fight so much easier!

What luck they have had when facing the Hyperius, he shot you with a sniper and it did not kill you ... A few times ago the front and the shots of that guy always hit my head and I played it in legendary it seems strange to me that it will not hit you anyway what luck 😅😅😅

this strategy takes too damn long, once the shields are down you have to pressure them with grenades or the rocket launcher to take them out quickly otherwise it just drags on too much as their shields regenerate and they never run out of ammo.

Hyperius was easy. Just ram him with his own chopper. He gets shredded and it also destroys the chopper. 2 birds one stone

I done this boss on legendary and all I did was go crazy with the grav hammer and beat it first try

343 can't write a story and rather than making the same boss over and over again. They did it again! Not only it's the same boss but also are far more bullshit Most of the bosses. You are fighting the environment. Not the bosses. And we're expected to use the shitty upgrades and to upgrade them further and that doesn't even do anything. Max shields and still get taken out like nothing. 100% aimbot and bullet sponges does not equal a good game.

It's such a shame they couldnt bother with interesting boss fights on Legendary. It's the opposite of fun. Nothing shows better how incompetent developpers are than just giving enemies 10 times the life pool and the damage. When you empty TWO weapons on a guy and he's not dead, there's a game design problem.

This game isn't fun because there's so many annoying boss fights. I'm not playing anymore, got to here and quit forever 🤷.

These 'spartan killers' were useless. Such hype and then it all came down to a lousy fight. Would've been much cooler if they were hunting/chasing Chief across the map on foot, vehicles, and ended up in the air with an aircraft fight, followed by a cutscene of Chief finishing them off. They were also way too easy on Legendary.
