That's exactly why they added the option in custom game settings, as long as someone sets it up you can have a AI variant of every 343 mode and most community made modes.

It's PvE, but with all the weapon adjustments and changes in the multiplayer that the campaign lacks. I still really miss the bandit whenever I play the campaign because it's my go-to favorite over the other UNSC rifles. That, and the spike grenades still explode their spikes out in every direction in campaign, rather than in the tight cone perpendicular to the surface they are attached to. Though, campaign still has the damage over time from the shock pistol's zap. I wish they brought that back instead of just removing what made the shock pistol an interesting weapon instead of a slower firing sidekick.

Ravengers primary fire felt like an actual power weapon in beta, still miss it (although the buff to it's AOE is nice). Pvp shock pistol's zap effect is way too short to have any impact (a longer zap duration (along with a wider spread to electric weapons in general) would make the electric class a very good form of support)

@@noname-bv4lh currently the Disruptor doesn’t have any shocks anymore, and merely supercombines after maybe 5 shots. They may reintroduce the DoT shocks when the networking is figured out.

Great work 343, we all love a good comeback story. Infinite definitely NEEDS more Legacy weapons, vehicles, enemy types, and Warzone/Invasion. When all goes well, us fans want to see a campaign expansion or new Halo building on the story or concluding it.

If they had, they would've needed to make it so players could customize what each round objectives were. Oh, and also the needed things like lives, unlimited rounds, skulls, etc. 5's was just very underwhelming and felt too rushed of an idea.

Just wow, just wow. I have been begging for Firefight since I finished the campaign. The gunplay is too good not to have a firefight. I wasn't even playing this, yet it felt like I was! Hopefully the experience is going to be good, though. Please don't give us the kind of XP that we get in Custom.

@@damiantorres5569 based on my knowledge, score is a summary of career rank XP gain, 1 player kill in PVP is 100 points, giving 100XP towards the career ranking system. none of the enemies in the gamemode give even close to 100.

Hmm... One thing I'll hope they'll change the medals, like make them infrequent and specialised towards a firefight mode, or at least remove them... I just find it weird since you're gonna be facing hordes of enemies and not like fighting players who are generally even with you.

You get xp based on different medals and how many of them. So if you get rid of them then you are basically left with a game mode that you can’t earn from. You’d be better off just playing custom games by that point.

At this point, they are going to have to make the AI pretty tough to beat as it has been over two years and several players, like myself, who have stuck with halo this whole tome have become pretty darn good at the game. the naysayers will jump in and then out again after a day as they always do but the dedicated players will need some hardcore difficulty spikes for it to be a challenge.

Tongue in Cheek? Not sure what you mean by that. As for announcer callouts, that's been part of Firefight since the 360 days. It's a bit more frequent in the Infinite version, but even back on say Reach, you'd hear him say reinforcements, weapon drop, round start, kills, etc.

@@MonteRicard (rant) I liked It in mp probably because I played siege alot when I was younger and having the noise in the background when you and the enemy are on the point but the time limits ran out so neither of you can leave added suspension Tldr I like it because it adds suspension when 2 ppl are on a point waiting to make the first move Though for firefight it’s not needed

You can, but the point of KotH is for a more streamlined matchmaking experience. Going back and playing Firefight in MCC, the classic mode doesn't work as well when matchmaking, and feels better as an experience where you pair up with friends.

The Banished AI takes the hill if you don’t occupy it. If you take too long to reclaim it the game will count that as a round/match loss and you just go back to the main menu again. So if you and your team are very quick to kill the banished without losing, go for it.

Because traditional firefight is just ppl hiding on the larger waves you’d just be spectating the one guy hiding in the back where the ai wouldn’t go Fun in your own but not in online mp with randoms This way players are forced to engage or lose And og firefights a thing that’ll come later or in customs

Besides what idiot runs out to high ranking hunters all game? Those people are the type that waste lives. It’s gonna be worse now that we have to sit in a box where the enemies will push. I don’t wanna be forced sit in a box nor does anyone else. This new firefight will lack free will which makes it inferior to the og one.

I mean halo 5 ultimately was a different game This is going back to the old fire fight where it only had enemies that existed in the campaign not the like in halo 5 where there were tons of powerful warzone exclusive enemies

Yeah, Halo 5 warzone was completely different to Firefight. FF is PvE. 4 Spartans vs waves of enemies. WZ was PvPvE. I can understand why you think this is a letdown when compared to that, but you need to know the difference

⁠⁠⁠⁠@@nomus1172 wdym tons of exclusive enemies? there was literally one you dumbas. the grunt goblin which was fcking awesome and should've came back. halo 5 was an actual brand new halo game, it had almost everything from past games and plenty of new stuff. infinite while also being entirely halo is just much less of game that has taken actual years for something most other halos had day fcking one.

Dont know where you got the idea that no one is excited for this from But by literally taking one peak in the custom games browser you'll see countless custom firefight themed lobbys being hosted. Ever since Ai were added to forge, the browser has been the MOST active its ever been in this game 🤷🏽

Another bare minimum effort from 343i. It took them... eight years of development to get Firefight in Infinite? Seriously? Bungie developed all of Halo CE, 2 AND 3 in the same time frame it took 343i to get Firefight in Infinite. Honestly I'd rather keep playing ODST/Reach Firefights than play Infinite's Firefight. Maybe if 343i got this content in at launch, the game wouldn't be in such a pathetic state with player counts inferior to effectively everything. Even Rainbow Six Siege (A game six years past it's prime) has higher player count than Infinite. That's just sad.

@@ghostlyswat12 It seems ordinary; expectable. Which is to say it is effectively just Firefight and I'm not trying to fault the gameplay itself. Just that it took nearly a decade of development to finally get Firefight in Infinite. My complaint is more with 343i & Infinite overall than JUST Firefight.
