The only issue about that is that if Halo Infinite were to have a novel adaptation like "The Flood," it would probably receive the same criticisms that the novel received. For Halo: The Flood, people complained that the novel had a series of "meaningless repetition of gunning down bad guys," making readers feel bored and lack excitement.

I really like how they made her "skin" look more like a full body leotard, complete with wrinkled edges, rather than a seemingly nude figure in digital body paint.

@@MiguelGr. They are around in the expanded lore. There was even a few stationed on the Infinity. You can see some of their KIA tags on Pelican 216's hologram.

That and the Mule Grunts are benefits of the sandbox model. It gives some power back to the player's preference of weapons. Let's face it, one of the worst sins of Halo as a whole has been denying you the freedom to use whatever weapon you choose. How many of them start a level with one weapon you like and once you're out of ammo, have to swap out to an entire arsenal of guns you don't like for the rest of the game.

They could very easily be 3D printers. We have metal 3D printers today that can print complex models like titanium rotor blades. I imagine printing a box of ammo 500 years in the future wouldn't be so complex.

@@HaloCanon The "Infinite scarab Gun" (unlimited invisible scorpion gun) It was left over in the code from when they had a thing called "orbital bombardment" in Halo infinite. Some dev forgot to mark the gun as non-interactive. Every weapon / effect in Halo Infinite's Engine has to exist somewhere on the map, this is the only one you can pick up though =) I have no idea what the random buttons in the game are for. Probably just spawn triggers.

@@theov3rmind I thought it was left on purpose. The devs call it "the Caleb gun", after the dev who put it in because he wanted to run around with a scorpion gun in his hands (which technically shoots from the knees I think). I might be misremembering, from the video I saw.

The red buttons on the frigate UNSC Reverie? They call in an air strike on the landing platform, if you find all four. And there are (3?) in the House of Reckoning, that send out a Warthog from a garage.@@theov3rmind

Should there be? Not everything needs an explanation. It’s probably just a case of those weapons conveniently happen to be in the crates, this is coming from somebody who loves lore too, some things are better just left ambiguous otherwise you risk giving reasons for too many things imo

Installation 07 was moved to an unknown location after Cortana destroyed it. The banished don't know where they are, so they cannot go anywhere. (and that's why are stranded... if I'm not mistaken)

I don’t think they are trapped there. After Cortana destroyed the brutes planet it’s implied that Zeta Halo is now their home. Not to mention that in HW2 the flagship, Enduring Conviction was destroyed. That was their super carrier. So, and I could be wrong, but the rest of their fleet is Slipspace capable yes, but it’s covenant built so it cannot travel long distances like the UNSC ships. And the Halo was moved from its original placement so they don’t know where they are, so starting a Slipspace jump could be difficult when you don’t know where you are.

I think that's the point of his character. He's ruthlessly efficient in many respects. But his legend is built not on doing things the "smart" way, but in succeeding against all odds. It plays into his mythos to be arrogant - and then dramatically backing it up. He could have ambushed the elites when he rebelled against the covenant. But he put himself in a desperate situation first, just to make a statement. It worked out. Obviously, that plays against him in the two instances we meet him in game. But, by and large, it's worked out for him, and likely is a big part in keeping his diverse army in step.
