I think Jacob Keyes death is the saddest and worst fate to die in the halo universe. Having a slow, painful, terrifying death while trying to maintain his identity and sanity when the flood is devouring his mind is something no body should experience.

No one mentions the Forerunner and Human war. Those were the saddest by far. They had the worst fate. Fought the flood and forerunners at the same time for a thousand years and still ended up losing despite the fact that they were trying to save the universe from the flood but the forerunners didn’t see it like that because they were blinded because of the mantle of responsibility. Humans were wiped out and the last few that remained were devolved from a civilisation just about as powerful as the forerunners in technology to primitive monkeys. The forerunners then fought the flood and lost and wiped out all life in the galaxy because they decided that humans were a bigger threat.

Daniel Leighton No, an opinion is something that you give backed up by reasons or evidence of why said deaths were funny. You simply copy and paste this innocuous little quip of "Noble Team's deaths were funny" in order to illicit a statement from someone who actually appreciated the story, characters and effort of HALO: Reach. Opinion should include reason or it's just trolling for a comment or a response.

All I'm saying is take the time to think about what you're saying and give an actual thought provoking opinion instead of just dropping a one liner. People don't use language or thought anymore, they just say something off the top of their head and call it an opinion. Keyes died in such a sad... Horrifying... And cruel death. It tops even the Spartans' deaths. Just being infected by one single flood spore is terrible enough, just imagine multiple, maybe even 50. Torn from limb to limb, your body being changed and malformed. Losing all your memories slow as possible while painfully having your brain twisted and turned...

@@cindyeckman6189What do you mean? Halo Wars 2 basically brought Halo back on track. It brought back the OG art style, introduced the banished, added more ODST and Flood in the DLC's and improved on all the stuff from the first game while trying to balance it better.

heavy military casualties, more that 142 ships lost with all crew onboard, heavy civilian casualties.. reach was the only game that really gave me a sense of how massive the destruction was lol

fun fact there were 27 spartans involved in the battle of reach anf only 4 survived reach, the battle of instilation 04, skrimish over the threshold, the raid of reach, massacare at Eridanus Secundus and operation FIRST STRIKE which was from july 24th 2552 throught late September 2552

gotta go with the death of noble 6. he/she goes through the game watching ALMOST all of Noble team dying just to stay on reach and duke it out one last time with the covenant as a "fuck you i aint dying easy" last stand. thats what makes halo reach one of my favourite games the little details that you see during the campaign and different little actions and interactions between characters is great.

EmperadorVeerle Yes we do. One of the best Halo games ever made, and it's reaching the 10 year mark. If they re-released the game, copy and pasted it by doing nothing but making the game 60fps, I would gladly pay another 59.99 for it.

TheThinMint reach had an excellent story. It was incredibly well done and had memorable lines and characters. I replay it to this day and consider it to be the 3rd best Halo game. My only gripe was the precision guns weren't exactly precise, but more random. But it was a nice send-off for Bungie and I'm happy with it; I'd just like to see it in 60fps, with precision weapons being, yknow, precise. However, it's just a dream. Bungie wouldn't remake it, and I wouldn't pay for a 343 remake of it.

I'm so glad Bungie gave me the opportunity to eliminate Guilty Spark after he killed Johnson. I think that was always a subconscious desire since Halo CE (aim your reticle at the light bulb in the first game, and it turns red- except you can't kill him because PLOT!). Kats' death pissed me off. She didn't even finish her damn sentence! I understand that it was realistic, but I don't like it when Spartans die without getting in a final shot or last words. Even though she's alive, Cortana's death is STILL very sad to me. She is, in every sense of the word now, GONE forever. She isn't the same person/AI that I have known since my childhood. She may be the same Cortana, but it's like day and night at this point. I still love her though, but she needs to be taken down. The day my hero Chief dies is the day I contemplate life forever. I want 343 to give him a FITTING death. He _deserves_ a fitting death. They screw stuff up all the time- they have a chance to get ONE thing right.

Mitchell 117 what if he commits suicide, like he finishes off cortana and doesnt say anything.. then takes off his helmet and it shows his face.. he grabs a gun.. points it towards his face.. and then you hear a gunshot but the screen turns black. then it shows a huge funeral thing with the 21 gun salute.. and jets flying etc..

Serina's was probably the saddest despite my general dislike of the character. From what I can tell, she waited over four times her "expiration date" just to say goodbye to the crew of the SoF. She sounds so weakened and saddened, but relieved.

No, she did indeed "die" on her expiration date. In Halo: Tales From Slipspace, it's shown that Serina was well aware of her approaching expiration date, and prepared by recording several messages of different outcomes for the crew when they awoke. After that, she dispensed of herself on-time.What we hear in Halo Wars 2 is one of those messages.

I believe noble team's death is the saddest, counting them as one character. I was more emotionally invested in that game's characters than any other halo game.

Old comment I know, but there really is only so much an elite with a spear can do vs a spartan with guns, spartan 2's no less. Better question is why were they using spears in the first place? Even if they can't risk shooting because of the bomb in the back, energy swords would do much better. Even better question, why were elite minors guarding that area, even when the prophet of regret was there? Higher ranking elites are better in literally every way.

Saddest death was Emile's he died in a badass way though managing to somehow survive the sword through him and put the knife through the elites throat, while noble 6 just standing there watching.

The saddest Death goes to Kat, because the civillians watch, as H7manities strongest soldiers, a Spartan-III die so effortlessly. And that's when the civillians lose all hope that they'll be safe from the Covenant again.

Saddest deaths for me have to be Sgt. Forge, Nobles 1,2,4,5,6 (Jun is still around btw just read the comics) Sgt.Major. Lazour eyes Avery Johnson and Miranda Keyes (reason I'm saying Keyes is that I kinda admired her tenacity and her cunningness as a supporting character).

No one ever talks about cats death. It happened by a zealot marksman, almost definitely as revenge for the destruction of the long night of solace. She may not how been the most strong in combat, but I think its safe to say she was the most intelligent of the Spartans. The elites that killed her probably had to confess to it to in the briefing. Sad, they had to put a lance through the very thing they wish they could have of hers.

I sill find it funny people don't understand what radiation will do to shields, especially from a close range glassing. Kat died because like the rest of Noble Team her shields were fried for the time being
