Halo's factions have several art styles. The San'Shyuum forced their contoured cetacean architecture on the Covenant, the Sangheili have several architectural styles ranging from contoured cetacean ones, to more medieval and boxy to even their beloved organic biomimetic designs that you see in halo 5. In this game we see a Jiralhanae faction's style for the first time. The UNSC also has several type of architecture.

They perform better in Situations and their senses are heightened to the point where they see the world slower than everyone else, 2 seconds for a normal human would be 5 for a spartan II because the way their neurones work in their brains as it allows them to process information significantly faster.

While I would love to see this, I just can't imagine the in-universe excuse to revert back 28 years of technological achievement. It would have to be minor and developed over the course of multiple Halo entries, books, comics, all that, and in the end, what we get won't be the original artwork. It would resemble it, but it can't be the same, or else we kind of just throw away all the progress the universe has made.

Even if you ignore that, just have it that Cortana is able to control Humanity's newer technology, post war, forcing the UNSC to revert to their old tech with the old art style we know and love. Furthermore, this would not only put humanity on the technological back foot but would also put the Spartan IVs out of commission due to their newer armour. At this point we could have Blue team doing back to their Mk. VI armour leading the fight against the enemy. Then all we need is Tom Salta for the music and Halo is back!

To be fair Red team hasn't seen combat for 28 years and they have little experience against brutes.

They fought Brutes during the story of Halo Wars 1. The thing is though, that Atriox is no ordinary Brute, maybe he is on a genetic level (but only maybe) but his strength and resilience seems to indicate that he might be wearing some kind of incredibly powerful power armour, maybe even Forerunner tech. I mean, he lifted a spartan and smashed him to the ground effortlessly...with ONE hand! No ordinary Brute could ever do that even with both arms since Spartans weight between 400-500kg in their armour.

Rodrique Bennett I don't think so. UNSC has fought with brutes since Harvest. They were actually among the 1st ground troops they encountered. UNSC has far more experience fighting brutes than elites.

The Spartan-IIIs were given superior training compared to the Spartan-IIs and IVs, as mentioned in Halo: Ghosts of Onyx and given the trainer's experience with training the Spartans. That and they were actually trained by a Spartan-II who endured the training the IIs had, knowing what works, and what doesn't. There's also the fact that the Spartan-III's augmentation has never once been mentioned to be inferior to the Spartan-IIs and in fact, besides one thing (the thyroid implant, which was substituted with hormone injections, therefore removing the need of surgery), the augmentations the IIIs were subjected to were the exact same as the Spartan-IIs. The only exception to this was Gamma company, who were injected with illegal drugs in order to strengthen them in combat.

Strength wise Spartans and Sangheili are nearly equals with differences in strength being based on individuals compared. Jiralhanae are stronger than Spartan-IIs without armour. Now imagine a strong Jiralhanae, wearing a power armour that enhances his strength and having an energy maces which is like a mini gravity hammer.

Why is the ark still intact after a ring exploded right next to it? This is THE ARK we are talking about. Technically only High Charity and Installation 04B were destroyed on top of it. Why are the brutes allied with the elites when the covenant is long gone? The Covenant is massive. There are multiple factions that branch from it(think Jul 'Mdama). Except unlike Jul 'Mdama, Atriox's motive appears to be more logistical rather than spiritual. The Elites are allied with the Brutes, because The Banished are confirmed to be a rouge faction of the Covenant(hence the name). With Atriox being the first real threat unmotivated by secular allegiance, his intellect will prove exciting for the lore. The Covenant(including factions loyal to the Prophets) and The Flood are far from being "gone" How is that AI still functioning when rampancy occurs after 7 years? The AI Isabel has been dormant and if I am correct, only ONI class AI have the lifespan failsafe. Whereas she is a logistics AI. What is that burning white thing in the middle of the Ark? Remember how I said only High Charity and Installation 04B were destroyed? Well High Charity was detonated ontop of a shortly after, activated Halo ring. Which was then activated directly untop of where the level "The Ark/The Covenant" takes place(in the center). The last scene of chief and Cortana drifting into space shows this destruction beautifully. I wouldnt look too far into it unless there was some sort of supernatural event that took place upon lighting the ring in that location. I am sure we will see plenty of that location, seeing as how this is where the control room for the entire Ark is located. Chances are the blast that destroyed High Charity weakened Gravemind and the lighting of the Halo ring probably finished him off. Though there is no confirmation of Gravemind dying, chances are he didnt survive. I would be very surprised to see him return as many fans believe he died on Installation 04B.

Activating a Halo doesnt destroy structures. Just organic life. From what I can tell, the UNSC probably had a outpost on the ARK after the events of Halo 3-4. Remember, Chief was last in space after a random warp out. And we know from Halo 4 that the UNSC has discovered other installations and is studying them which explains the new AI. She isnt old enough to be rampant yet is my guess.

they have seen the brutes befor, hell the brutes have been in the covenant human war all through it, just on a far lesser scale (compared to halo 2/3) to any other military forces in them due to their aggressiveness not being really controllable.

Ummmm, this guy is way smarter than a common brute chieftan, way stronger and seems to be wearing some kind of armor. The chief wouldn't be able to take him down... at least not in hand to hand combat.

Master Chief also nearly dies from a regular brute in the books. It's not a pissing contest

We saw a mere clip, a short one of that, of a Spartan-II in John's updated armour (it's not even clear if this was John), dodging a hammer strike. That doesn't mean the Spartan was "weaving" past the Brute and in fact Brutes are actually as fast, if not faster, than Spartans (see Halo: First Strike and consider their ability to jump large distances).

+Rulingmoss55 And yet Atriox's armour has proven to be resistant to ballistics, AND His Mace could easily force the Chief to an uncomfortable position which Atriox will exploit. Atriox has also demonstrated incredible strength just from his bare hand alone (I refer to bare hand as singular as his right hand is augmented, his left isn't), far greater than the Chief's actually. This isn't a fight the Chief can win, at all.

You are expecting too much. The brutes have always been a major threat to spartans. The games never truly shows this. A brute can go more than toe to toe with a spartan in terms of pure strength.

Brutes in terms of lore have always been a hardcore threat, but this specific chieftan is like the brute version of a spartan. He seems to not only be stronger than usual, but also a tactical genius and seems to be wearing some sort of armor.
