Hi folks, we got a message back from Haloview after watching this video and it may be helpful for a few of you so I'm going to pin it here. Based on the BSD alarm footage in the review video, we believe the BT11 has a slightly shorter alarm distance than expected. This may be caused by the rearview camera being mounted at a low angle. We believe this is also the reason why BSD autocalibration is unsuccessful. We suggest that if you want to see the reversing image and don't necessarily require to see very far away, you don't need to adjust the camera's angle. The alarm distance will be shorter; if you want the BSD alarm distance to be longer, you can adjust the rearview camera up one grid. You can refer to the following picture. Sorry I can't put the picture here - but it essentially shows that the camera is rotated upward 1 notch, and that the angle is 11.5 degrees. We don't plan on moving for the next few weeks, but when we do we will give this a try. Honestly it still works well for us without - and I like being able to see back behind the trailer so I may just stay with what we have - we will see!

Hi guys! Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I really like the feature of having a sim card to keep footage of your travels and document mishaps from both front and back. The screen appears to offer a crystal clear image which is very appealing. However, the one thing I'm struggling with is all the wires that connect to the monitor and the potential difficulty in concealing them in a tasteful way. Your approach to document the installation is very methodical and easy to follow. Thanks again! 😀

Wow you two did a great job we actually let this play on our fridge while cooking. You did a nice job making installation look easy and you were so detailed in how to use the rearview mirror system. Haloview has been making these for a while and eveey year it is amazing what nee features they add. We have seen many of these over the last few years this was done very well if this was somethi g we needed yiu looked as if you answered anything we would need to know. Well done!

Nice review Bob, we have the halo view but it's the larger square screen version. I think I kinda like the mirror mount version better....

Nice informative video. On the smart box are there buttons that need to be accessible while driving? I'm asking as my new Chevy truck does not have any "CLA" style power plugs (USB only) so I'll have to install an aftermarket one or thinking of remotely mounting the smart box behind my center console possibly. One suggestion on your video is the background music is annoying and does not add anything. Most videos these days have stopped using background music.
