I can't begin to describe the feeling this is giving me. Halsey is the only artist that has ever made me feel that way, and it's not only this song, it's all of them. She's one of the few artists that truly speaks from experience. You can hear the pain and sorrow in her voice, but at the same time you can hear the hope and apathy. The cracks in her voice are beautiful, and her growls are incredible. l'm incredibly happy for her achieving her dreams, with all the things she's been through she deserves is more than anyone.

I know that this song is about her relationship. But everytime I listen to this I can't help of think of my relationship with myself while I was struggling with an eating disorder. How I felt I let everyone down if I changed in size. how I needed desperately to wake up, but my conflicting emotions told me I need to, but I don't want to.

This song sounds like desperation and that feeling as hope slowly slips through your fingers and you know your worst fears are inevitable now

I love how you talk about your pain and your demons like people I do the same in my writing because that’s exactly how I feel. Depression is literally like a person right beside me telling me I’ll never be good enough

Honestly, her lyrics is what makes her so different from the other popular mainstream artist, sure some of her songs are about love and shit but they're also about society and mental health problems and drugs and abusive relationships, she is so amazing and her voice is that of an angel

just closing your eyes and listening to this album in silence is so compelling. halsey has really done it.

I think this song is about trying to be heard ! especially from a woman’s view point! We are always told to keep our feelings to our selves (eat our feelings)! Because other people are never concerned about what you have to say but they only care about hearing themselves talk! So In order for us to be heard we sometimes tend to act out aggressively and forcefully!! (wake up the devil in us) !! And then people call us crazy, out of our mind because all we are trying to do is speak our mind! While being told to shut up!
