Halston Z-14 and 1 - 12 two of my favourites but Z - 14 is my top fragrance. I'm 53 and I was 20 when my mom give me the Z - 14. Greetings from Iquitos, Perú.

Great review. Amazing how the decades roll by. We used to wear this stuff back in high school along with Polo and the other vintage masculine blends. The girls loved it. Now they’re considered old and stuffy by the current young folk. Still prefer the classics, more character and complexity. 👍🏻

Correct me if I’m wrong but this colones from the 60s,70s and 80s were made very strong due to the smoking eras so it can cut through the smell of cigarettes and cigars…..

That was so interesting when you said the women’s Halston smelled a bit too soapyand made it smell dated, because it seems that all the current women’s perfumes smell horribly soapy. My Halston never smells soapy at all on me.

I'm glad you admitted they're dated and overwhelming. Obviously they can still smell great but I hate when somebody forgets to mention that its overwhelming and outdated cuz what's the point in buying a good smelling cologne that I'm never going to wear?

Exactly, most fragrances from the past are a bit hard to wear . There are exceptions like. Original Sauvage, many of the Guerlains, and so on. Unless you are a collector it's a waste of money IMHO. It's still fun to get a wiff of the Past 🤙

The newer formulation of the original Halston for Women isn’t even close to the version I wore in the 80s. It’s terrible now, which is so unfortunate.
