All I needed was "wsl --update" in command prompt

please help. I've been trying all night to get hamclock working on windows 10. If I run the ./hamclock-800x480 & is says permission denied and creates an error log. The log says Fatal: Another instance of HamClock has been detected. Only one at a time is allowed or use -d, -e and -w to make each unique. I'm not quite sure how to do that. Thanks

You need to be familiar with Linux to attempt to run Linux on Windows. You may want to run with sudo. Or add those - switches after the whole command.

Hi, could you tell me if I have to have a username and password in Ubuntu to install hamclock? Thank you

Yes. Final step of WSL setup will ask you to create a user name and password, which are independent of Windows user name and password. Please see my other how to set up video if you haven't.

pls see my other how-to video which shows each command clearly. In the description, there is a link to a presentation you can download to see all commands in your computer.

Thanks for the video, everything was oke until I start Ubuntu........ error message: "WslRegisterDistribution failed with error: 0x80370114" i wa not able to resolve it, it stops here. Any suggestions? Regards. Martin.

Turn on Virtual Machine Platform & Windows Hypervisor in Windows Features in Control Panel
