We recorded this 4k ultra hd video during our trip to Hamburg, Germany on August 2020.
With a population of over 1.84 million Hamburg is the second-largest city in Germany after Berlin and 7th largest city in the European Union. The city lies on the River Elbe and is Europe's third-largest port.
Hamburg's rivers and canals are crossed by around 2,500 bridges, making it the city with the highest number of bridges in Europe.
Hamburg enjoys a very high quality of living, being ranked 19th in the 2019 Mercer Quality of Living Survey. It is also a major European science, research, and education hub, with several universities and institutions.
Our guided walking tour is about 4.97 miles (8 km) long, starts at Hamburg Train Station, ends at Museum for Hamburg History and covers most attractions and historic sites of Hamburg.

I live in Hamburg since 30 years I enjoy every single day in this beautiful city I ❤️ it. Hamburg is a world city you meet people from almost all counties of the wild like NYC in Europe but it’s much peaceful and stress less. Even if the weather is mostly rainy but I’m going walking around Alster and dancing in the rain. ✌️

How can you say that ? Hamburg the 2nd biggest city in Germany, I only see a few Asian, muslim or black people on the street. It seem that 99% people are European tourist or German. Have you been to New York,LA, Houston, Sydney, Melbourne, Vancouver, Montreal, Boston etc. They are United Nation cities from all over the world include European backpackers travel and live there for decades.

Hamburg looks much nicer and more interesting for a tourist than I thought. It has a reputation as a sleazy port town but thanks to your video I now know there is much more to it than that. Very good work, your walking tours are the best for quality and information! Just one thing - Mönckeberg was not the Mayor of Hamburg at the time of the Great Fire, he was 3 years old in 1842 :)

I cheat a little by watching from my exercise bike, every morning, but it still takes the same time. I remember driving through Hamburg, in convoy with Police assistance in 1989, and it has changed so much, I am so impressed at how. I must tell you that your videos are giving me so much pleasure, and information. I am 84 and cannot be bothered with the hassle of airports when I can so easily “go to” places of choice from the comfort of my armchair. Well done to everyone, and thanks x

18:45 The city hall building is incredibly beautiful. It was built in the late 19th century, so not that long ago. The attention to detail, everything so tasteful and subtle. It really makes me wonder why we are no longer able to produce such beautiful architecture. From the 20th century onwards, architecture became mostly horrible, an aesthetic nightmare.

Fun fact: If you have ancestors from Germany it’s very likely that their journey overseas started here in Hamburg (or Bremerhaven). The City is located at the beginning (or end) of the Elbe river which flows into the North Sea at the point where Hamburg ends. The Elbe River also flows across Germany which made it an important inland trading route over centuries. Hamburg has always been a thriving Hanseatic city but sadly it got heavily destroyed in WW2 (like all major German cities). However today it’s the richest city in all of Germany.

I visited Hamburg in the 1980's. Nice city, and you can always tell that vehicles are local. The HH licence plates.. Happy Hamburg... I had a great time in Hamburg, most of the people were friendly, but not all.. I remember some older Hamburgers not being happy when they realised I was British. Calling me a dirty Brit. The memories of world war two were still fresh with some people... The Saint Pauli district and Gross Freiheit was a revelation..

Que surpreendente essa Igreja de São Pedro. Os tijolos de cor laranja dão a ela um aspecto muito antigo por fora, mas por dentro, ela tem uma arquitetura limpa (que parece ser neogótico), com cores claras e muito bonitas.
