How can you trust a realtor? Their objective is to make money.

This is a good question. Before you make any decision on purchasing or selling. Your realtor should provide you with current stats. Average price for that property and recently solds in the area. This way you can make an informed decision and build that trust.

@@imdanielhale You're missing the point. A realtor gets commission. A hefty one at that. They will encourage people to buy no matter what is going on in the market.

@@casual35 no I understand exactly what your saying and I respect the opinion. I also agree a lot of realtors will do that. However I believe it really depends on what your doing. For example when the market was declining heavily last year I wouldn’t recommend selling unless you had to for financial purposes

@@imdanielhale A friend of mine sold her house in 2022. Her agent talked to her about what's going to happen in 2023 with the prices declining and possible crash. She encouraged her to buy in October! 2022 overpriced homes. Now in a matter of a couple of months after closing and moving, the prices drop significantly. But... of course the agent got away with the bag of commision money.
