An unforgettable cinematic stage performance, the filmed version of the original Broadway production of “Hamilton” combines the best elements of live theater, film and streaming to bring the cultural phenomenon to homes around the world for a thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime experience. “Hamilton” is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, “Hamilton” has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre-a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. Filmed at The Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in June of 2016, the film transports its audience into the world of the Broadway show in a uniquely intimate way. With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and direction by Thomas Kail, “Hamilton” is inspired by the book “Alexander Hamilton” by Ron Chernow and produced by Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jeffrey Seller, with Sander Jacobs and Jill Furman serving as executive producers. The 11-time-Tony Award®-, GRAMMY Award®-, Olivier Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning stage musical stars: Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson; Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler; Jonathan Groff as King George; Christopher Jackson as George Washington; Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds; Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton; Leslie Odom, Jr. as Aaron Burr; Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison; Anthony Ramos as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton; and Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton.
“Hamilton” premieres on July 3, 2020 around the world, streaming only on Disney+.

I for one can't help laughing to myself, since now I can bring this up from Wallace and Gromit(at the 0:44 mark)! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/odybfb2p39yRhHU.html I just love saying "The Bullet" like they do in that clip! It amuses just as much as James Reynold's getup(pm1.narvii.com/6702/cbfbf95220bc33eb9141b2463713bbebcf60a898_hq.jpg ) cause I mean SERIOUSLY, I get that it's a mix of a period piece and the stylings of a pimp, but to me he looks like he's cosplaying as Woody from Toy Story(not that I mind)!! Another foreshadow of John Laurens’s death, not related to the Bullet, is in Aaron Burr’s introductory song. Burr sings, “fools who run their mouths off wind up dead...” immediately followed by John rapping a line, and Burr remarking “Like I said...”

This is exactly why I have been telling people that you CANNOT digest all of Hamilton in one sitting. It's also nice that Hamilton features a relatively small cast with the same actors portraying multiple characters. I have watched it too many times to remember since it premiered on Disney+ and each time, I watch for different things like the main characters, ensemble, dancers, movement of the floor and props and even the lighting. From my many viewings, I caught almost all of these things mentioned in this video. Every time I watch, I discover something new and I am still completely blown away by how phenomenal Hamilton is and the brilliance of Lin-Manuel Miranda, the entire cast, crew, orchestra and everyone involved!!

@@mythicalmusicnotes7400 I think it's a lot more direct than that. Howard Ho described the rap battles specifically as duels of words, with the participants firing remarks at each other. Sally (represented in Jefferson's mind as free-spirited and responsive even as she's cleaning his floor) is the one who invites Jefferson into the cabinet. This leads him to to lose in 2 duels against Hamilton, and then be elected, inspiring Burr's challenge.

I noticed the first time she was foreshadower of death but it was on my 3rd rewatch that I realised she was foreshadowing everyone not just Hamilton 🔥. Most moments mentioned in this video but it did take a while to make that connection. Unreal level of detail. I’ve seen the incredible subtlety on each rewatch. And when you compare to historical accounts it’s even more mind blowing. Like the nod to the rumours Hamilton and Laurens might have liked each other as more than friends “Laurens I like you a lot” and longing stares. Lin-Manuel and co are GOATS. Wow.

And during "Helpless", after Hamilton's rap, Bullet (in a ballgown) dances toward Hamilton as he walks to the back of the stage only for Laurens to come between them again and lead Hamilton back to the front. I feel like she also "killed" Burr, but more emotionally than physically. She was there talking about Burr's presidential campaign which Hamilton ruined. She gives him the desk and quill, which he (as you described) eventually uses to asking Hamilton to duel. He then feels immense regret, as shown when he sings "the world was wide enough", which I think killed a little part of him. Idk, just my theory!

It’s really cool because you see everyone interact with the bullet, and no Matter what she is perceived as, she kills. like John Lauren’s shaking hands with the bullet, Philip talking to the ladies before confronting Mr. Eacker, and her speaking to and moving the chair for King George and also barely missing Hamilton in “Stay alive” (as she explained in the video) but! what is super interesting is that, Thomas Jefferson is the only character in the show that interacts with the bullet in the show that does not die by the end. In the song “what did I miss?” she is perceived as “Sally” who opens and hands the letter from the president to Thomas, in which reveals he is Secretary of State. It’s very strange but very cool.

I've been an avid fan of Hamilton for years now, and I (guilty) have watched bootlegs so many times. More than how much I can count with my two hands. When Hamilton officially came out on Disney+ I was astonished by all the details that I've never noticed before. Even the 'Bullet' character. Every time I've watched Hamilton now, I still come across new Easter eggs that bootlegs failed to capture. When people compared Lin to Shakespeare years ago, I thought it was just the wit and poetry behind the lyrics. I've never thought that almost everything: the songs, characters, and choreography, has a deeper meaning behind them. Everything (arguably) was put in there for a reason. And how the viewers discover and interpret what they see in different ways, goes to show how much of a genius Lin and the whole production crew is. We analyze Hamilton like how we analyze Shakespeare's works. Years later, I won't be surprised that English classes (in the U.S at least) will start analyzing Hamilton as a piece of literature. I'm excited to watch Hamilton again and see if I can find other details/theories.

Actually Hamilton doesn’t speak directly after that. Someone asked burr about the revolution then Hamilton interrupted and asked “if you stand for nothing burr, what will you fall for?”

I actually did catch her in my first watch of the show. I've been doing theatre for about eight years, so I tend to look at shows differently than, say, my parents do. I pay special attention to the blocking, particularly that of the ensemble. I remember her significance hitting me like a fricking truck. I referred to her as the 'death lady' for most of the show, and my parents thought I was crazy.
