This is quality and I enjoy the dancing... But there's something about King George standing still and expressing fully through his face and voice that is so chilling and perfect.

He is so much fun. The funny thing, though, is that King George almost never dressed like this in real life! He was so interested in farming and wore such simple clothing that one of his nicknames was “Farmer George.” He was constantly worried about gaining weight because it ran in the family (and there were MUCH fatter members of the family, believe me, including his son George IV, who was just gross). They still have some of the clothes he wore later in life when he was ill, and it’s just heartbreaking. He got enormous and needed help just eating and going to the bathroom like a baby. I recommend “The Madness of King George” for a totally different angle on him. That said, Hamilton’s version is hilarious.

He was also considered quite fair as a King, and personally he was the first King in years to have not had a mistress - having been in love with his wife, which was very unusual given this was a time of arranged marriages.

This made me laugh so hard 🤣🤣🤣, I can`t see anyone but this man as King George III anymore, and the facial expression off pain and fear of the pages was priceless! thanks for such an amazing video to everyone that worked on it, I hope that if Hamilton gets a movie they make it as good as you are doing.

I love how the costumes and the actual behaviour were closer to the original Gorge in Hamiton. If you really wanted to see a fatter version of Geroge just look the London performance of Hamilton.

Fitting considering George III was German. If I remember correctly, his grandfather couldn’t even speak English, when he became King.

@@Quinntus79 You're thinking of his great grandfather George I. His grandfather George II actually could speak English with a heavy German accent. George III's father Frederick never became king. George III may have had German roots but was British by inclination saying "Born and educated in this country I glory in the name of Briton" when becoming king.

Any similarity between Mad King George and Evil Vlad are purely the effects of too much power in one person's hands. Yes, I know that George III really didn't have such sweeping powers, but it's his expression of undying "love" to the point of killing that brought me back to this sharp stick of a song this first week of March, 2022. I prefer his singing to the original but I much prefer the original stage production. And I have seen the filmed one on Disney and Groff's tendency to split while singing really adds to the kings character. But this guy's singing is better.

You know when people ask if would have super powers, catchable “friends”, or some over the top fantasy … anything. I don't want to know history if history isn't like this. The whole video is just king George being a sassy overly dramatic school girl who just broke up with "the first and last love of her life and future husband omg he's so perfect" (Stereotypes) And the guards are so.
