This just came on from my playlist randomly and I have a lot of Hammock, but don’t recall this one. Anyhow, it just brought me to the most cathartic outpouring of tears I think I have ever experienced, and right in the middle of an HEB grocery store. I’ve always thought the name likely refers to an ecological niche of the Deep South. A hammock is stands of trees that grows on a slightly elevated area, often merely a few inches high, surrounded by wetlands in which they could not otherwise live, such as swamps and marshes. Being from the South, these artists would know what a hammock means in terms of nature.

I listen to this entire video every single night while writing a script. It's perfect because it allows me to dedicate one hour each night to writing. When the video ends, I know that I'm done for the night. I only listen to it when I write the one specific script, it puts me in a mindset and almost becomes a soundtrack to the universe that I'm attempting to create. The songs suddenly become the main characters emotions and dreams. The characters succeed and fail with these songs playing in the background. Unfortunately humanity is runned by blue blooded reptiles. I don't think humanity would ever come together as one. I wish it could. But we as humans must wake up. I mean really we should wake up!!! Help eachother out. Feed the poor. Help your neighbour. Smile to eachother. Help animals. Stop watching these news channels that are full of hate and anger. We should stop lots of things. We as humans should start meditation immediately. Otherwise there will be no future for us. Everything is getting better i.e technology ..but where is the humanity? Where is compassion and empathy. More than cleverness we need kindness.

Very fine music and a great video. This is actually better than many feature films, because it speaks about a true perception of life - spiritual, interconnected, and celebratory of Nature's gifts. It is certainly more uplifting than most movies. It has a Transcendental quality and Emerson would be proud to see his ideas shown visually. I play this often while working. It settles the spirit, especially amid today's political turmoils and our immature materialistic social dysfunction. It also reminds me of the fields, stream, quarry, and railroad tracks where I would hike with my neighbors while growing up. Landscapes speak to us and we hold conversations with them, but not with words. The actors and crew should keep on in this vein and maybe do a feature film story that has a mystical and transcendental theme. That is what society needs now. They don't need more of the usual nonsense genres, they need a true sense of why we are all here and a feeling for the grandeur and gift of being part of the world. You have captured that here better than anyone else. Actually, although this video has not gotten a lot of publicity, I would say that what you achieved here is as well done as Disney's Fantasia, but in a 21st Century spiritual way. The visuals are very creative and evocative. It is award winning quality.
