Hampi is not only famous due to the ruins of the Vijaynagara empire. Hampi and its history dates back to many thousands of years. Hampi and its surrounding regions are considered to be the Kishkinda of Ramayana the kingdom of Bali and Sugriv. The place where lord Ram met Bali, Sugriv and lord Hanuman. In this video we hired an auto rickshaw from the center of Hampi and traveled towards Anegundi to climb the Anjanadri Parvat or Kishkinda Parvat which is also considered to be the birth place of lord Hanuman. It was an exhuasting climb of 575 steps through the boulder mountains but at the end was worth with stunning views of the surroundings. There is a shrine at the top of the hill dedicated to lord Hanuman.

At a time when Ayodhya temple is finally getting ready the Governments should plan to develop this place also and, provide elevator or cable car facility to reach to the top ... Jai Hanuman, Jai Shri Ram.

I know of someone who wanted to hike up this mountain but had to stop midway as it became too tiring for them but I can see that steps are decently made out of the boulder rocks. But guess will still need a lot of effort.

Yes it will be tiring to climb 575 steps.
