Hamsterley Forest, Transmission, Accelerator & Nitrous

Transmission, Accelerator & Nitrous are possibly Hamsterley Forest's most famous trail's. Starting next to a Transmission tower about half way round the Red and Black route, the trail starts flat, runs about 150 meters along a flat path before a bench and stone table appears and the real fun begins.
Hold on for what i believe is the longest downhill in the forest, bar a 50 meter fire road section, this part of the Black route is all single track and takes in the 3 trails Transmission, accelerator & Nitrous. 5 minutes later you finish on the valley floor and gaging for another go....

These videos have given me the confidence to have a go at Red routes, having spent most of my time on Blues. Visiting Hamsterley quite regularly now, sessioning each bit of trail and getting a bit better each time. PS 1 kidney, 1 heart attack, 1 e-bike, 65 years old, 1 happy bunny.

Cheers mate, it takes a lot longer to film like this so having a few people who will lend a hand is a real bonus. I am grateful as it means they usually give up a good ride out for a quick blast, then stand at the side of a trail for 4hrs as I ride past a million times 🤘🏼🤪

Thanks buddy, it took ages to film so I'm pleased with how it turned out. Luckily the chain dropped right at the end so didn't really affect the run... 🤘🏼

It's a great way to carry more speed through that section, although it's not part of the trail so might be frowned upon 🤘🏼

Great place to ride, Off Piste trails pop up all the time and the offical stuff hols up really well in the wet. Hamsterly is rideable all year round.

You are loving that place and I surely know why . There is so much there . About the video I liked very much the static camera 🎥 footages as they had some extra cinematic movement in them . Well done 👍 to your camera guy and great riding skills man as always . Don’t know how far away from me you are but it would be awesome to meet you one day out there 🤘💪

All the official trails in the forest are free to ride. There is a parking charge per car, im not actually sure what this is now as I pay for a yearly pass but is about £5ish. The Descend bike park at the opposite end is pay to ride, this is £8 plus the parking charge.... hope this helps

On this one there was 3 of us, but I have done a few when there was only myself. So a load of set up, record, ride, repeat... I did this one on my own kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e7KRaqqKrZi-mqs.html
