I really wish he vocalized my lectures in pharmacy school; I would’ve fallen asleep to his voice but I’m a memory learner so i would’ve kept his lectures on repeat lol

I'm just recovering from carpal tunnel release surgery and I really wish I had seen this video months ago. Not that there was anything to fear from the surgery, but the explanation of how the median nerve works and is fed through the hand is very thorough. The mechanics of biology is endlessly fascinating.

Informative as always for us non medical types. I'm hoping that being more informed about these things might help me overcome my phobia to enable me to have surgery to alleviate my daily pain, I think the pain itself might be the primary motivator though.

Surgery can be very scary. I know my first surgery I was really frightened, but after it, I was quite relaxed about the follow up Often the first hurdle is the hardest

@@DrJamesGill I can't even bring myself to go on the waiting list yet, more progress required methinks 😁

Flip it around. Going on the waiting list will not be fast, and it gives you something to work towards AND if and when it gets too close, you can still postpone, and someone else gets the operation spot. No losers all winners

@@DrJamesGill your logic is very difficult to argue with, but my (admittedly very silly) phobia is very deeply ingrained. Your videos/comments have certainly improved the probability of me doing it though, it's no longer zero percent 😁

Great videos as always! I've been sleeping with splints now for ages with this bugger in both hands, seems to come and go in phases along with cubital tunnel syndrome from the elbow (both sides too) which makes me wonder if there's something snagging further up the chain or just coincidence? My neck does like to slip forward and get painful when I'm not conscious of it but I've also been quite heavy on exercise for many years too. Also hope you're keeping well!

how fitting these videos popped up. i recently did something weird to both my arms' carpal tunnel and ulnar nerves and couldn't move them hardly for a few days! it's mostly gone now but i'm still wondering what happened!

I learned a lot here. For one thing, I learned that the Carpal Tunnel isn't the one that connects Manhattan to New Jersey.

Could you make a video about cubital tunnel syndrome?

Yes. That’s a simple video, so will be able to add it on the list

I was wondering if you could answer a question for me, I used to have carpel tunnel pain from a previous job, but the pain now seems to be in a spot between my wrist and thumb on the back of my hand, and the middle of inside of my forarm. Is that also from carpel tunnel or something else?

Why are they called fingers if they dont fing? They should be called thingers because they get things done.

Very educational video, thank you Dr. Is there a similar situation for the feet? If yes, are you going to make a video about it?
