We should learn from this crowd. No mobile phones, only enjoying the song.

Haha, plus silent, no drunks, no sweaty people, no one trying to start a circle pit. Very well behaved audience.

Crowd even chose not to be physically present to cause any possible noise from sneezing or so. Hats off to them.

Abner's Boy I was at that infamous 2009 Detroit PT show. Same thing happened. It was very weird compared to what I witnessed in Cincinnati the night before.

Can you imagine being married to Ninet and getting that sweet voice yelling "you never listen to me!" , "you didn't get the trash out last night!" . I think I'm in love

This is beyond beauty. The song, the interpretation, the venue... the public. The whole HCE is a masterpiece. I want to cry of joy.

Together we Have this love Even so It's not enough Bruised and burned We won't lose heart And just because Life gets hard Writing lying E-mails to our friends back home Feeling guilty If we sometimes wanna be alone Hand cannot Erase this love Hand cannot Erase this love And a love like this Makes us strong We laugh it off When things go wrong It's not you Forgive me if I find I need more space 'Cause trust means we Don't have to be together everyday Hand cannot Erase this love Hand cannot Erase this love Hand cannot Erase this love Hand cannot Erase this love

Terrific song, shame it was only rehersed and he didn't add it to the set.

Kinda wish he'd have let Ninet take a verse. Back in March 2016 at the Beacon Theater in NYC, SW lost his voice during the day due to a nasty cold, so Ninet and Dave Kilminster (the previous touring "lead guitarist" who was on most of the H.C.E. tour) covered most of Steven's vocal parts... and Ninet tore into this song like it'd been written for her. Did the verses and first chorus at the same pitch as Steven would have, but on the second chorus she went soaring up an octave (to where she sings backup in this video); totally owned the crowd at that moment.

Ninet is the perfect feminine vocal for SW's music, especially in HCE and TTB, her voice reaches my soul
@colokurt14 жыл бұрын
I got lucky in Albany a night before or after that too. Steven took the entire 2nd set off for singing and Ninet literally sang an entire hour set herself. It was quite something.

@@Andreas_Music -- unless they've been deleted, there may still be one or two audience-smartphone videos from the Beacon show somewhere on YT; I know I've seen a couple, of Ninet's renditions of HCE and Routine. Not great quality, but it's cool to hear her rip into HCE and listen to the audience response.

It's funny, I don't remember making this comment. I had the Blu-ray on launch, so I knew this was a sound check and there was no crowd, so I can only surmise that I was -trying- to be funny but not quite executing. I guess there is some humour in my failure!
